The Ultimate Goal of Deception

There is currently a doctrine (teaching) being pushed on the Church that there is a separate plan of salvation for Jews and Gentiles, that the Jews are saved just by virtue of being Jews. It even claims that Jesus is not the Messiah and that He never claimed that He was. This is dangerous teaching because of the deception that it fosters on both believers and on unbelievers who happen to be Jewish. Let’s look at what the Scriptures themselves have to say about this topic:

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. – Acts 4:8-12

1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions;  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. – John 14:1-6

These two Scripture references are all inclusive; both Jew and Gentile are included. There is no separate path for salvation for the Jew or for the Gentile! Scripture makes it very clear, the Gospel is to be taken “to the Jew first, then to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16). This is not an age-related dispensation formula but, a “for all time” strategy for the Church.

One of the devil’s main avenues of attack is deception. Saying the Jews are saved by election is certainly one of those deceptions. I wonder who those who believe this heresy think were present 2000 years ago to hear Peter’s Pentecost sermon? If this doctrine is true, then Peter’s sermon was wasted effort because all who were present were Jews! No, the Church began by preaching the Gospel to the Jew first, then the Gentile and that mandate hasn’t changed in 2000 years.

Rebellious Jews and Gentiles alike are still claiming Jesus is not the Messiah and that He never claimed He was, but, let’s let Jesus Himself answer their claims –

The Samaritan woman said to Jesus,  “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” – John 4:25-26

When Jesus was interrogated by the High Priest Caiphas, He remained silent to their accusations until the High Priest invoked his role of authority –

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.” – Matthew 26:63-64

This seems clear to any who can ‘hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches’. Jesus even asked His disciples who men were saying He was. Peter answered –

Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. – Matthew 16:16-17

Now even immature believers know that the word “Christ” is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word “Messiah” so Peter was really saying “You are the Messiah”! Jesus didn’t deny it, but simp[ly revealed the source of the revelation, which gives it even more authority. Those who espouse this heresy, that Jesus was not the Messiah, are on dangerous ground and need to repent.

The Apostle John wrote that any who acknowledge that Jesus is the Christ and is come in the flesh are from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus as the Christ is not from God and is the spirit of Antichrist! (1 John 4:2,3).In case you think I’m being too harsh, hear what the Apostle John says again –

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. – i John 2:22,23

This doctrine, that Jesus is not the Messiah, is rooted in rebellion. Rebellion comes in many forms, but every time we rebel, a veil of deception comes over us, until finally we can no longer see the truth. Denying the word of God and its work in our lives is usually at the root of it. That is why Samuel told King Saul –

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king. 1 Samuel 15:23

Rebellion starts like a small seed in our lives and grows until it consumes us. At last, even when confronted with our sin, we will refuse to change! Then it will be too late. Believers in Jesus are destined to be kings, just like King Saul, but rebellion will ultimately cause us to be rejected as kings. We may not understand the word of the Lord, or even like it, but to twist it or deny it will have deadly consequences.

I humbly implore every Jew, Muslim, Hindu, or anyone else to accept the loving call of God Almighty to ask Jesus the Messiah into your life before it is too late. Remember, you are only 1 heartbeat away from eternity.

Finally, to those who claim to be believers, I implore you not to be lukewarm believers. And to those believers who thought I was too harsh on Muslims in former posts, remember there is only one way into heaven and that is through Jesus, the Son of the Living God!

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. – John 14:6

  1. I recently received a comment on this post asking me to name one person who teaches this heresy. So, I will list a few: 1) Last year over 70 American churches celebrated Chris-lam services by offering Muslim and Christian prayers from the altar. They claim that Allah and Yahweh are the same God. However, Muslims believe it is blasphemy to say that God has a Son, while Christians claim Jesus as the Son of God. 2) Pastor John Hagee has made very confusing statements about this. He is also the founder of Christians United for Israel, which raises millions of dollars to help Jews in Israel. How is this bad? The problem is most of the money goes to orthodox Jews and is used directly against Messianic Jews in Israel, More about this can be seen at these web sites: http://www.pfo.org/jonhagee.htm by G. Richard Fisher and http://carm.org/john-hagee-denies-jesus-claimed-to-be-the-messiah by Matt Slick.
