As I wrote in 2015 Blood Red Moons, “Heavenly signs are God’s warnings of things to come and 2014 began a series of 4 blood red moons that occur on Biblical Feast days.” The two BRM’s of 2014 did indeed set the stage for increased trouble both for Israel and the world!

I suggested three possible scenarios for those troubles: 1) A new Israeli government will be sworn in and a new Prime Minister as well. Will the fight over Jerusalem and a Palestinian State continue or will those wanting peace at any cost prevail thus speeding Israel’s destruction? 2) Will the struggle with ISIS bring on the war predicted in Psalm 83? Or 3) will financial and political pressures bring the Russian bear down into the Mideast beginning the Ezekiel 38 war? As the heavenly signs of 2015 rapidly approach, these three possibilities are even more likely.

President Obama is showing his true colors as a Muslim  supporter and an Israel hater. Not only has he placed Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers in key sensitive positions in his administration, but he has gone out of his way to embarrass and disrespect Israel and its leaders. He has also through secret negotiations allowed Iran to continue its nuclear bomb aspirations, even against warnings by UN nuclear watchdog groups, which are usually weak themselves! His actions, or should I say lack of action, has embolden radical Islamist and weakened those Muslims who would like peace. He has even gone so far as to send members of his election team into Israel to help defeat the current Prime Minister, Netanyahu. This is a US government treating a sovereign government as an enemy. He has carried out the same kind of actions against Egypt, one of the few willing to fight Islamic extremism! He denies all these accusations to the gullible news media but, actions speak louder than words!

Meanwhile, in the face of American weakness, ISIS continues growing and expanding. Now three more countries are close to falling to them; Libya, Jordan, and Lebanon. While they throw 10’s of thousands onto the battle fields, we send a few hundred as trainers, and often the armaments we dole out end up in ISIS’s hands. They may very well soon control most of the territory Psalm 83 declares Israel will fight against and conquer (see Psalm 83 War – part 2). Perhaps it is Israel that will defeat ISIS, or whatever name they are currently using?

No one can deny that Russia is advancing its agenda of recovering former USSR territory. God declares He will put “hooks in their jaws and draw them down” into the Middle east (Ezekiel 38). As events in the Mideast change almost daily, who can say what events God will use? Perhaps the Syria-Hezbollah-Iranian axis is facing defeat by ISIS, or Israel. Perhaps Israel in the face of American lack of will to stop Iran’s rush towards nuclear weapons is forced to act itself. One thing is certain, God will act and He has given the world heavenly signs to warn us all of those actions!

On March 20, 2015 an important date on God’s calendar happens – Nisan 1 which is the beginning of the Biblical calendar. And on that date an eclipse of the sun occurs! Fourteen days later a Blood Red Moon occurs on Passover. This is a clear warning of coming trouble that human intellect will not be able find a way out of. If man persists in refusing God’s light, He will take away their light and force them to walk in the dark! But, even then He gives a way of escape, to embrace His Passover sacrifice, Jesus the Messiah. On September 13th a total eclipse will occur, when God takes the light totally. Is this the beginning of St. Paul’s warning?

“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:11, 12

Does God love Israel any more than the rest of us? No, but God has chosen them and the land they will live in and He is sovereign! He is just and will deal with any of us according to His plan for us and the Bible declares His thoughts and plans for us are good.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11

So, be wise and listen to the Spirit of God as He calls us to Himself, giving us heavenly signs to warn us of the inevitable trouble that is coming on the rebellious.
