We are fast approaching the last half of the 2014-2015 Blood Red Moon Tetrad (cycle of 4). March 20th (Just 2 days away) will begin with an eclipse of the sun.

Root Source Ltd. reports “It will happen both on the first day of spring and on the first day of the Jewish religious calendar, the beginning of the month of Nisan. Such an astronomical event only takes place once every 100,000 years, experts said.

This eclipse will occur in totality over the North Pole and some have thought that since no nation has a particular claim to the North Pole (although Russia is quickly moving to claim it) this eclipse is likely meant as a sign to all nations. Europe will be most affected, especially those nations who rely on solar power. As I wrote in Update – Blood Red Moons of 2015, eclipses are thought to signal trouble for the nations and in this case European nations.

Pastor Mark Biltz explained, “In Jewish tradition, a total solar eclipse is a warning to the Gentiles and a sign of judgment on the nations. When we look at where the darkness will be, it will be in northern European countries like England and Sweden where we see the rise of Islam and anti-Israel sentiment. Europeans especially should take heed.”

Benjamin Netanyahu has only recently won the Israeli election and will likely be appointed Prime Minister again. This in spite of President Obama going to unprecedented lengths to interfere with elections in a supposed allies country. The already shaky relations between Israel and the Obama administration will likely continue to deteriorate regardless of public statement to the contrary. Especially in light of Netanyahu’s public statement that there would be no division of Jerusalem or a Palestinian state under his watch and Obama’s obvious tendency to prefer Muslims over Jews and Christians.

Iran’s march toward Jerusalem and ISIS’s continued encroachment on Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Jordan is raising alarms everywhere but in the Obama administration, who seems willing to give the Middle East away. This leaves Europe wondering what to do, Russia watching and preparing, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Israel realizing there is no one to stop it but them! This years eclipse of the sun most certainly is warning of trouble for the nations!

On March 20, 2015 an important date on God’s calendar happens – Nisan 1 which is the beginning of the Biblical calendar. And on that date an eclipse of the sun occurs! Fourteen days later a Blood Red Moon occurs on Passover. This is a clear warning of coming trouble that human intellect will not be able find a way out of. If man persists in refusing God’s light, He will take away their light and force them to walk in the dark! But, even then He gives a way of escape, to embrace His Passover sacrifice, Jesus the Messiah. On September 13th a total eclipse will occur, when God takes the light totally.

For the world, these signs are portents of trouble but for God’s people they signal a fresh outpouring of he Holy Spirit. Remember the first eclipse of 2015 happens at the beginning of Nisan, the 1st Biblical month. The prophet Joel also revealed something else would happen during this month –

“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” – Joel 2:23

God is once again reminding us – man’s ways will lead only to trouble but with the Lord there is plenteous help – His out poured Holy Spirit.
