Rise and Shine

It would be easy to be quiet, worn down by the pressures of the Antichrist spirit now ruling in America and indeed in the world at large. But, it is at times like this when the body of Christ must rise up and shine, because we alone have light to overcome the darkness that now assails us.

We have just witnessed a historic Blood Red Moon tetrad, which ended in September. The Shemitah, or Sabbath year, also ended and the Year of Jubilee began. Many have wondered if anything happened? Remember, the blood moons are signs warning about upcoming events. Events which may have begun but will not mature quite yet. However, with that said, I note that the 4th blood moon of 2015

marked Russia moving into Syria with ground troops and the U.S. President is seen as weak around the world. Mideast states that were previously allies of the United States are beginning to meet with Russia’s Putin, striking deals to protect themselves as they view the U.S. as an unreliable partner. As the Shemitah year ended, stock markets around the world began melting down, the most notable being China which lost some 40% of it’s value. The U.S. also has suffered economically. Even though the U.S. government likes to make us think all is well, the Federal Reserve is entertaining the idea of negative interest rates to get the economy going for the first time in our history. Many main stream economists are forecasting economic disaster this next year, the Jubilee year.

Meanwhile, Americans are bombarded with lies from the so-called news media and from politicians running for office, or trying to keep their office. It is obvious to any seeker of truth that we are living in the times the prophet Isaiah wrote about –

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. – Isaiah 59:14,15

Isaiah describes this people as those whose “hands are defiled with blood”  and whose “lips have spoken lies, and perverseness”. “Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths.”  He concludes, they “shall not know peace.” If you listen to the news, watch politicians testifying before Congress, or observe what a majority of Americans accept as entertainment, or even think about 50-60 million babies killed for pleasure and profit – you would have to admit, we are the people Isaiah is describing!

For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. … Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. – Isaiah 59:13-15

It would be well to remember that this last Blood Red Moon tetrad concluded with the feasts of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, both of which speak of warning and coming judgment for the wicked. America has enjoyed unprecedented blessings from God but we have turned away from Him, denied His presence in our schools and public arena, even pushing Him out of our most foundational institution of marriage, thus robbing Him of the honor and glory due Him. He cannot but judge such a people!

But, to those who chose to walk in the truth, I have good news! God is preparing a great harvest – the final harvest. And He will send a deluge of latter day rain to equip His people to bring it in. So, take Isaiah’s final word to heart –

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. – Isaiah 60:1-3
