The Blood Red Moons Revisited

Many today have short attention spans. We are used to instant everything. The food we buy must be microwavable, the news we get must be nightly, online and fast. The weekly newspaper is almost extinct. The volume of information we are inundated with forces us to focus only on the immediate with last years news relegated to the delete or junk folders of our minds. However, this is very dangerous as we tend to overlook those items that require thought and planning.

For this reason I have decided to revisit the last few years from a prophetic perspective. I will begin with the Blood Red Moons of 2014 and 2015 and their hidden meanings for us. How they affect you will depend on you and how much time you give to analyzing these events.

In the Bible, the number 8 often represents a new beginning; it was on the eighth day that Adam and Eve began their life in a new creation, it was on the eighth week after the resurrection that Pentecost happened and the Church began its Spirit filled ministry, and this Blood Red Moon tetrad is the eighth since Jesus’ crucifixion. Since that time, man’s history has limped along for some 2000 years – is something about to change?

So what was the ministry of Jesus about? The ministry of Jesus was three-fold –

  1. It began a new involvement of God in mankind’s history,
  2. He brought true HOPE and CHANGE to the downtrodden,
  3. He brought comfort to the righteous – those who were on the front lines against evil and wickedness in this world.

He came the first time in a year of Jubilee and He called it the Acceptable Year. He ministered just 3 1/2 years during times of persecution by both the religious and the political forces of His day. Is this eighth Blood Red Moon tetrad preparing us for His second coming?

“so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” – Hebrews 9:28

It is no accident that the blood moons appear on Passover and Sukkot (Tabernacles). These two feasts represent the first coming of Jesus, when as the Lamb of God He died for our sins, and His second coming to tabernacle (dwell) with His people for a thousand years.

“Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. – Revelation 22:6

Depending on how one calculates the Shemitah (Sabbath) years, the Year of Jubilee will end in September 2016 or September 2017. This could mark the beginning of Satan’s last attempt to thwart God’s plans for mankind by introducing the Antichrist to earth.

In any event, these Blood Red Moons warn us of things coming in our immediate future – not to scare us but to prepare us to be overcomers. In following articles I will share some of the other mysteries revealed in the Blood Red Moons. I hope you will follow them and pass them on.
