In my last article, Which King will You Choose?, I tried to illustrate the truth that the people cannot gain heaven’s blessings by choosing leaders that only look good or sound good or even that agree with what you think. If they do, they inevitably get a King Saul. They must choose leaders whose hearts are after God – like King David. But, there is another truth in this process that is seldom referred to – and that is the people always get the leaders they deserve! If Americans  reject God and His laws they cannot expect God to give them righteous leaders. If God does happen to give them righteous leaders they will only reject them, or worse.

America kills its babies, outlaws God from it’s schools and public life, celebrates immorality of every kind, strikes down the holy institution of marriage, all sacred to God,  and then expects God to bless them – this is insanity!

Obama honors the legalizing of gay marriage

The Democrat Party long ago turned against God and His ways but last week, the RNC also did as much. They brought an avowed homosexual on stage, acclaimed him as wise because of his great wealth, and then gave him a standing ovation. I can guarantee you, God was not in agreement. Why does God call homosexuality an abomination (Leviticus 20:13)? Because the family is important to Him, marriage is important to Him, a man’s seed and a woman’s egg are important to Him – He want godly seed! God says of man and woman –

“But did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.” – Malachi 2:15

Now many may call me a hater, a homophobic, but I am merely proclaiming what God has spoken. God loves all mankind but He calls all to repentance, to turn their lives around and live righteously before a holy God – and that includes homosexuals.

Better to Believe in God

I listened to carefully to the words Donald Trump spoke at the convention and many I agreed with but, I did not once hear him challenge the American people to repent or ask God for forgiveness for our many sins. He was not a man ‘after God’s heart’ as King David was! America is sliding downhill toward judgment and no ‘arm of flesh’ will save us. We need a man like Aaron of old to run into the midst of the people with the censer of repentance and prayer that holds the coals of God’s fire.

“Now it happened, when the congregation had gathered against Moses and Aaron, that they turned toward the tabernacle of meeting; and suddenly the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared. Then Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of meeting. And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” And they fell on their faces. So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar, put incense on it,and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the LORD. The plague has begun.” Then Aaron took it as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and already the plague had begun among the people. So he put in the incense and made atonement for the people. And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped. “ – Numbers 16:41-49

The fire in the censer can only come from the Altar of sacrifice, where Jesus the Messiah paid for our sins, and the only incense that God accepts is the prayers of true saints, the prayer of repentance. I do not believe Donald Trump is such a man. I pray earnestly that he will become such a man – there is not much time left!
