“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.” – Psalm 19:1

We so often read these scriptures but never realize they may have a prophetic message as well. As we near the end of the age, God will use all His creation to warn us of impending danger, even the clouds of heaven.

“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” – Matthew 24:30

“Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” – Revelation 1:7

But there will be others heavenly signs as well. Many recent sightings of horses in the sky are sweeping the internet. Some no doubt are doctored but not all. It reminds one of the four horses of Revelation 6:2-8 –

“Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.” – Revelation 6:4

A white horse goes forth with a bow and a crown to conquer; a red horse goes forth with a great sword to take peace from the earth; a black horse goes forth to bring famine and hunger to the earth, and finally a pale horse goes forth with Death and Hell riding with it “and power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.”  Any sober person who pays attention to the world-wide news  could certainly see how these spiritual horses are already beginning their ride across the skies.

But, there are other signs as well. In 2013 the comet ISON made a near orbit around the sun with many dire predictions accompanying it. It finally collided with the Sun and scientist don’t know yet the long range results of that collision. We do know there are strange storms and dark spots are occurring on the surface of the Sun. Beginning the very next year a Blood Red Moon Tetrad began to appear exactly on the same Biblical Feast Days for two consecutive years, Passover and Tabernacles. Blood Red Moons occur when the Moon is eclipsed and Hebrew Rabbis have long taught they spell trouble for Israel. A Blood Red Moon Tetrad occurring on the same feast days is extremely rare and we will not see it again in our lifetime. Further, only seven have ever occurred since Jesus’ first coming and this one is the eighth – in Scripture the number eight represents something new beginning. The Biblical feast of Passover represents the 1st coming of Jesus and the feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) represents His second coming. The solar eclipses in the BRM’s also occur at specific times; Nisan 1 is the beginning of the Biblical year and the Feast of Trumpets represents the final warning to get ready for God’s Judgment. Eclipses warn of trouble for the nations of the world. Then Just before the final Blood Red Moon the Year of Jubilee began on September 23, 2015 and runs to October 2, 2016. (Note: Depending on different dating  methods the Year of Jubilee may begin in 2016 and go to 2017) The Year of Jubilee was meant for a blessing to God’s people with debts erased, etc. But because they fell away from God, it became instead a judgment mostly represented by financial collapse. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has written about this in his book The Mystery of the Shemitah.

 Cahn’s warning has to do with what is known as the biblical Shemitah, or the Sabbath Year. During this year, according to Exodus and Leviticus, there was to be no working of the land. The last day of the Shemitah, Elul 29, is considered the “wipeout day” when all debts were “wiped clean.” The Shemitah was meant to be a blessing, but when Israel turned away from God it became “a sign of judgment on a nation that has driven God out of its life.” After 7 of these Shemitahs the next year (50th) was declared a Jubilee – or super Shemitah.

At the end of this Jubilee year, a great release of debt and freedom occurred. But, because of rebellion by God’s people, it became a great judgment instead. The United States is the only other nation, besides Israel, that began by being dedicated to the Lord. Our 1st President warned in his inauguration that if we ever turned away from God the “propitious smiles of heaven would be removed from us.” We now have reached this stage and the warnings of God’s harbingers have begun. If you have never read these two books, you need to do so immediately!

God is being faithful to warn us of coming judgment but, it up to us to act. We were told from the beginning of the Church age that these things would happen before the Lord’s second coming.

“I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” – Acts 2:19, 20

Also, hidden in these four Blood Red Moons is a new Pentecost. God promised that before the final harvest He would send a “latter rain” to enable His people to bring the great harvest of souls into the Kingdom. As James wrote –

“Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” – James 5:7-8

As we see these signs it is a message for us to get prepared. What can we do? God gives the answer – “Establish your heart”. As Peter wrote about the same happenings –

“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:7, 8

Remember God is love and true love always moves Him to action.
