Ready of Not

(God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen by Day of Eternity7 of my 30 Grandchildren)

As the song plays, I want to share a great truth with you all – it’s about family. I have important news for all of you but, especially for my grandchildren, and especially the boys – you don’t get to choose your ancestors! God does that for you and you just have to live with it and make the best of it! Below is an example of what I mean –

What my Grandson Daniel (left) will look like in 53 years !

In case you can’t see it, I’m the handsome one on the right.

And in case you old men want to know what you would look like at a younger age –

What my Grandson Judah (left) will look like in 69 years !

I’m the handsome one on the right – I even had a beard at 11 years old!

This is what happens at the Cooley house when the Grandsons have an ‘overnight’ party. And since my last post was on the meaning of NOEL, which has a lot to do with Joyous celebration, I’d thought this would be fun to share as well.

Time is so short, and 80 years goes by before you know, so thank God for the time you have and enjoy it. But, I would be remiss if I didn’t give the Lord praise in this post. His promises to bless are all true, even if at times they are not clear to us – sometimes they go before us and sometimes they follow after us – but they are always sure.

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. … But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.” – Psalm 37:25-40
