This will be the second half of Revelation 12 which describes the end of the war between God and Satan. While not specifically identified, the final battles that many call Armageddon are alluded to but, God emphasizes the main idea which is the gathering of His people, both Jew and Gentile, and the defeat of Satan. There are still several unanswered question which I will explore at the end of the included movie.

This movie uses the Word of God and the heavenly creation of God to explain His final plans. I hope you enjoy it.

As seen in other postings, the sign of the Woman in the heavens will be fulfilled this coming September 23, 2017. Seven years from that date, in the sign of Taurus, the Son of Man is seen coming with His congregation to judge the world on the 9th of Av, a date of great disaster. Does this begin God’s Countdown clock to the end or, do they merely warn of soon coming events?

Other questions also remain, such as what does the phrase “fly into the wilderness” entail? If it only refers to the Jewish people in Israel and the wilderness refers to the mountainous wilderness of Edom (modern Jordan and Sinai) as many believe, why do they need to fly? There are not even airports there and for the “multitude of people” referred to they would need large planes to transport them. Perhaps it refers to the over 9 million Jewish people flying home to Israel only to flee into the wilderness? Or, is “the wilderness” referring to a place different than Edom? Or perhaps the word “fly” is only rhetorical, meaning to escape?

“And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” – Revelation 12:14

Then there is the question, what does “two wings of a great eagle” refer to? I have wondered if this is alluding to the United States, whose symbol is the eagle. It would be comforting to believe the U.S. does not desert Israel and go along with the Antichrist. But, it could also refer to God’s supernatural deliverance such as He did in their exodus from Egypt –

 “Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.” – Exodus 19:4

Lastly, when will the Antichrist appear and confirm the Covenant with Israel for seven years? This could be a peace treaty of sorts such as the Oslo Accord was or it could simply be a recognition of the covenant God made to Abraham, which would mean the land of Palestine belongs to Israel. Even an event such as the United States moving its embassy to Jerusalem could signal such a confirmation. However, if this happened presently it would likely provoke a war between Muslims and Israel. I expect we will not see such a covenant take place until the Psalm 83 war and the Gog war of Ezekiel have taken place.

This concludes the teaching on Revelation 12. Chapter 13 will introduce the Antichrist and the False Prophet to us. They of course are already on the scene carrying out Satan’s orders in Revelation 12.
