Since the year 2000 many interesting signs and events have been happening world wide. In this article I want to review some of them. First I will begin with the heavenly signs that have occurred and are about to occur –

 

 

Many say, “These signs happened in 2014 and nothing has happened!” but, that is a misunderstanding of what signs are meant for. God’s signs do not foreshadow an immediate fulfillment, only a warning of coming events. They often do not tell the exact date of the event. This is one thing that confused Israel. They had prophecies about the Messiah as a suffering servant but also as the Lion of Judah who would deliver them from all their enemies. They did not realize the time delay between them. The same is often true about the signs we are witnessing.

Notice it was 1260 days between the 1st blood moon of 2014 and the Virgo fulfillment of Sept. 23, 2017, which is 3 ½ years, but a 7 year period comes from the Virgo fulfillment and the sign of Taurus in 2024. How do we understand this? They are obviously warnings of something but, we probably won’t know what until they happen . We do know that 3½ years and 7 years play a big part of end-time prophecy. That’s the way signs are – they warn us to watch and pray about something that is coming. It is easy for us to understand the prophecies about the ‘suffering servant’ and the ‘Lion of Judah’ now but, it wasn’t 2000 years ago.

There was another sign at the time of the sign of Virgo that has not had much said about it – that of the planetary alignment that also occurred on September 23, 2017 –

This was the was the first perfect alignment in 7000 years according to some astronomers. But, what does it mean?

We are also being given many strange signs in the earth to alert us as the following video shows.

 

 

The prophet Hosea warned about these happenings many years ago –

“Hear the word of the LORD,  You children of Israel, For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land:

“There is no truth or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land. By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed. Therefore the land will mourn; And everyone who dwells there will waste away With the beasts of the field And the birds of the air; Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.” – Hosea 4:1-3

Foolish humans do not want to admit that God created all things and He placed man in charge of it all. So when mankind rebels, it effects the rest of creation. When there is no truth (it seems skillful lying is a main requirement of politicians, news media, etc.), no mercy (destroying the most innocent among us by abortion is certainly the height of being unmerciful), and lack of knowledge about God needs no examples as it is so blatant as to be self-evident!

But, there are many other signs that have recently come to light that should warn us of the times. Several have now found where Moses crossed the Red Sea into what is now northern Saudi Arabia. The real Mt. Sinai has also come to light as well as the rock Moses split out of which came water. Although the location of these historic places were known to locals, it is only recently that modern man has recognized them. The original church in Jerusalem where James, the brother of Jesus, pastored and where Mary, the mother of Jesus attended has been found.

While the past is coming to light proving the accuracy of the Bible, new things are also happening that should alert us to the lateness of the hour. The original City of David is being uncovered and the original Pool of Siloam has been found. The Pool of Siloam was a rock-cut pool on the southern slope of the City of David, the original site of Jerusalem,

located outside the walls of the Old City to the southeast. The pool was fed by the waters of the Gihon Spring, carried there by two aqueducts. This has significant meaning for our time because this pool was used as a mikveh, ceremonial washing, before entering the Temple, and could place Herod’s Temple south of the present Temple Mount.

The Temple Foundation group in Jerusalem has recreated all the necessary parts for the Temple and the Sanhedrin (Temple Priesthood) has been recreated. They have even appointed a High Priest and just recently held the Passover Feast just south of the Temple Mount.

To worship in the Temple each person, whether rich or poor, has to offer a ½ Shekel and this coin has just been minted by the Sanhedrin.

“The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Hashem, to make atonement for your souls.” Exodus 30:15

It has the face of Cyrus and Donald Trump on one side and the Balfour Declaration on the other. All these things point to the nearness of a Jewish Temple being built and if they conclusively prove, as many now believe, that the Temple was actually located to the south of the present Temple Mount, the time will certainly be close.

I have not even mentioned yet the nearness of military conflict which could fulfill Ezekiel’s prophecy of the Gog – Magog war or Psalm 83. All the signs for these wars are rapidly building. In fact, many wonder what is restraining them from having happened already. To that I would say, God has His own timing and will not let man dictate the times and seasons, which are in His hands alone. But, I will leave the military signs for later.

Then there are the many signs of the ‘falling away’ apostasy that Paul wrote about.

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition “ – 2 Thes. 2:3

There are certainly many signs of this already happening; from pastors claiming Jesus is not the only way to salvation, to women pastors, to church leaders approving of abortion, and to Christian leaders joining with Islamic, Buddhist, Hindi, occultist leaders to proclaim oneness of all seeking the One God.

“So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” – Matt. 24:33,34

As Jesus warned, it is time to place our personal house in order and strive to be faithful to the work Jesus gave us to do – share the good news.
