I can’t get away from believing that 2018 is a pivotal year for all the world but, especially for America and Israel. In America it is obvious that many have drifted away from the Biblical view we once had as a nation. Our belief in the value of every human life has   been eroded by the doctrines of convenience. An entire political party has fallen prey to these anti-American values and while I could pick many of these lost values to highlight, I will stress only one – abortion, which is the willful destruction of a life deemed  unworthy to live. The Democrat party showed its true colors at its 2016 National Convention held in Philadelphia where they proudly proclaimed themselves as the Abortion Party! And there are many in other political parties that would also agree with this stand. While this erosion has been going on for a long time (it began 60,000,000 lives ago in America alone) and many have become deadened to the shock of it, I can assure you God has not! God has a long memory and long patience to allow for repentance. Remember what He told Abram about the coming judgment on the Amorites of Palestine

“Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. … But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.“ – Gen. 15:13-16

Now here the message of Elijah –

“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” – 1 Kings 18:21

You have to choose who you will follow and you cannot just partly follow God, you must embrace all of His ways and follow them – or follow Baal (gods of this world). You cannot do both. Now the reason I chose abortion as the eroded value to highlight is Elijah. Jesus predicted Elijah would come again before the end –

“And the disciples asked him, “Then why do the scribes say that first Elijah must come? He answered, “Elijah does come, and he will restore all things.” – Matt. 17:10,11

John the Baptist came in the spirit of Elijah but, Elijah is coming to prepare the way for the Lord’s second coming and this will be his ministry when he comes –

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.” – Malachi 4:5,6

Elijah’s message will involve the restoration of family, which is dear to the heart of God. I can guarantee those who support and promote abortion will not be on his accepted list! I am not promoting one political party or candidate over another but, when the Lord returns, I believe He will check our values to see if they line up with His. How we vote does show what we really value.

Now is the time to seek the Lord, the final harvest is already beginning. The Word of God says, seek the Lord while;e He may be found – we are working on His schedule – not ours!

“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near” – Isa. 55:6

Thousands are coming to the Lord in North Korea, China, and Muslims in the Mideast as  nations are being prepared for the Lord’s return – don’t be left out.

You may not like President Trump but, if you claim to be Christian you should at least rejoice that his meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un is opening the door to a new freedom for Christians in North Korea.

These and many more signs are pointing to the lateness of the hour. It is time to draw near to God and He will draw near to you. In the midst of God’s moving, you can expect Satan will be moving as well trying to wear you down, as Daniel predicted.

‘He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.” – Dan. 7:25 NASB

God is going to shake everything that can be shaken and He is going to purify His saints to become the Bride of Christ. So, if you have forsaken your calling in Jesus Christ – repent and return. If you have given in to despair or hopelessness – begin rejoicing in the Lord for He will not fail you. If you have let Satan’s pressures wear you down – remember you are like David’s mighty men who drove their stake in the ground and would run no farther because He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world! (2 Sam. 23:9-12).
