I must admit that I have wondered about President Trump. Some say ‘He is the Antichrist!’ and some say ‘He is Jehu’ sent to save us from Hilary Clinton. As I have prayed about him and asked God about him, I have come to believe he is a ‘restrainer’, as Paul writes, sent by God to restrain the forces of Antichrist from ruling the world before God’s timing.

“And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” – 2 Thes. 2:6,7

He was certainly a surprise to political pun-dents and the Washington establishment. And I believe President Trump is proof that God is not finished yet with this country or this world. As it was said by Jesus, ‘The stone (Trump) which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’, certainly of the United States. There is no doubt that the mystery of lawlessness is at work in this world and in the United States. Socialism, communism, atheism and Islam are rapidly gaining strength and the one super-power (the United States) that stands for righteousness in the world is in danger of falling. God put a most unlikely man in the office of President to slow down the onslaught of these Antichrist systems. And as it says in Scripture, the ‘chief priests and the scribes’ seek to undermine him and destroy him.

“Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’? Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people—for they knew He had spoken this parable against them. So they watched Him, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, that they might seize on His words, in order to deliver Him to the power and the authority of the governor.” – Luke 20:17-20

They have levied false accusations against him, impeded him, and stirred up resistance against him – but still he stands and grows in popularity with the people. So they plant spies in his administration and watch for any opportunity to bring him down.

If I am correct in my assumption, the United States has 2, maybe 6, more years before it’s downfall. Unless the Church in the United States turns back to God and stems the tide of Islam, socialism, and atheism, we will become as impotent as the Church in Europe. Our fall will be like that of the fall of Mystery Babylon the Great, described in Revelation 17 –

“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” – Rev. 17:1,2

Russia, Iran, and Turkey gathering

A blind man can see that we are near the war of Gog, described in Ezekiel 38, as Russia, Iran, and Turkey gather in Syria against the tiny state of Israel. I have wondered often why the United States is not more prominent in this prophesy and perhaps it is because we have fallen. Or perhaps it is because the rapture has occurred and the spirit of America has departed?

In any event, we are nearing the end of the age and the Presidency of Donald Trump is a call to all people –

“And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” – Rev. 22:10-12
