Europe has been facing a crisis level birth rate for many years and now it has caught up with America. While each woman needs a birth rate of 2.1 children to replace the current population, the current rate is only 1.7.  A recent news article highlights the problem –

“The United States birth rate remains well below the replacement level needed as white American births plummet in all 50 states and the District of Colombia.”

This is just one more evidence of America’s turn away from God. Scripture proclaims that children are a reward from God.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.” – Ps. 127:3

When America aborts thousands of these precious gifts from God each year, it is a slap in God’s face! We then blindly expect our blessings to continue, blessings that come from God. He must look down upon us with amazement –

“God looks down from heaven upon the children of men,To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.” – Ps. 53:2

He will take our blessings away and give them to another and that is exactly what is happening in America. As our birthrate declines, we bring in immigrants to bolster it, those who appreciate the blessings of children; Hispanics, and Muslims. But, they do not have an American heritage and they do not know or appreciate our history. Thus in a generation or two, America will cease to exist.

Then there is the problem of dis-functional fathers. American fathers who do not take their role seriously and do not train the children they have in the ways of God. They do not know God themselves and so they do not instruct their children in His ways. They do not understand why God blessed Abraham as He did.

“For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments;” – Ps. 78:5-7

God said of Abraham –

“For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.” – Gen. 18:19

American children surrendered to American schools.

Because American men have failed to be men of God, America is on the decline and God’s blessings are slipping away like water off of a melting ice cube. Among the first things to go are our children. Because men have surrendered their God given teaching function to their wives and to the schools, it has become easy for the evil one to take over the schools with foreign philosophy and deception. In a generation or two America has changed from being a Christian nation to being an atheistic socialist nation and will soon be an Islamic nation.

So, what is the answer? We need to reject the current  humanistic culture that is fed to us by the news media, Hollywood, the church, and our government. We need to return to God and His ways as stated in Holy Scripture. Fathers need to bow their knee to Almighty God and start being the leaders of their families that God commanded them to be. Then perhaps God will forgive us and bless us once again.
