The Everlasting Gospel

3 angels of woeIn Revelation 14 we see an angel warning the people of earth to not take the mark of the beast –

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, “he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” – Rev. 14:9-11

A second angel announced the fall of Babylon, the great city. But first came an angel proclaiming the everlasting gospel in the midst of heaven to those who dwell on earth – to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people –

“saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” – Rev. 14:7

Before the final judgment begins, God proclaims the everlasting gospel to the earth. Before judgment comes mercy. But, this gospel is different than the gospel being preached in most churches today. It begins with “FEAR GOD. The Bible says of God –

“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God:” – Rom. 11:22

God has two sides, one merciful and one severe. On the repentant He shows mercy but on the unrepentant He shows severity.

“The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’ – Num. 14:18

We all fall and stumble in our walk with God but, if we genuinely repent, He will show mercy and forgiveness. But, if we just go on in our sin after being warned about it by God, He will judge us. This is where the fear of God enters – we want to be pleasing to God and we don’t want to do anything that is displeasing to Him! The true Gospel begins with a holy fear of God.

Then there is an element of humility in the Gospel. One that admits we cannot succeed in our lives without His goodness. A humility that admits to God’s glory. A humility that admits He is the Maker and we are but the one made. A submission without pride that He alone is the Creator of heaven and earth and of us. David wrote of this in the Psalms –

Baby-boy“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” – Ps. 139:13-17

Do you realize what this Scripture is saying? We each came with a pre-programmed plan for our lives which was made by God before we were born! At the end, when we all stand before God to receive His judgment on our lives, He will open these books to see if we lived according to His plan for our lives or not.

rev 20_12“And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” – Rev. 20:12

The true Gospel calls us to worship God as the Creator of heaven and earth. It denies the doctrine of evolution, for which there is no proof. Even Darwin had to admit this before his death. There are three phases of evolution: abiogenesis, ontogenesis, exogenous. Abiogenesis is basically the evolution of living things from non-living. Ontogenesis is basically changes to a species within the species, and exogenesis is evolution from one species to another species. God created each species with the ability to adapt to its environment and change to meet the varying conditions. But there is no proof that abiogenesis or exogenesis has ever happened. Evolutionist usually point to examples of ontogenesis to prove abiogenesis and exogenesis but, they do not. This is the doctrine of evolution as currently taught in our public schools and it is a satanic doctrine aimed at denying God as Creator. And it programs our children to not accept the true Gospel. (I am telling you this as a science teachers with 33 years of experience.)

As we near the end of this age, it is more important than ever that we hear the true gospel and respond to it. God is both merciful and severe. He will judge sin. The penalty for sin is eternal punishment in hell, with no escape. But He has made a way for us to escape that judgment. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on a cross, shedding His precious blood as a payment for our sin if we but repent of our sin. We must humbly admit that He alone is God and we are not! We must give glory to Him for His kindness to us and for His creation that leads us to Him as the Creator. Then we will be protected from the judgments that are coming on the earth.

Please, take advantage of this call.
