Leftist in the United States, mostly Democrats, have pushed hard to eliminate the rights of conservatives and Christians, from the taking down of crosses and the Ten Commandments to schools celebrating Easter and Christmas. And now New York leftists are even attacking our freedom of speech saying those who uses the term ‘illegal alien’ can be fined up to $250,000.
The law in the state of Minnesota (a leftist state) would compel Carl and Angel to speak messages with which they disagree—or face dire consequences. Under the Minnesota Human Rights Act, Telescope Media Group would be forced to create videos celebrating same-sex weddings if they created videos celebrating marriages between one man and one woman.
In June 2018, the Supreme Court decided another religious freedom case you’re probably familiar with: Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. In a 7-2 decision, the court ruled in favor of cake artist Jack Phillips. The state of Colorado’s (another leftist state) flagrant hostility toward Jack’s religious beliefs was enough for the court to decide in Jack’s favor purely on religious liberty grounds.
Fortunately, higher Courts have struck down these laws for now but, that won’t stop the leftists, they will continue attacking until they succeed. What does the Word of God have to say about these leftist tactics?
Remember what Jesus said:
‘Goats on the left, sheep on the right’ (Matthew 25:33).Jesus also told Peter that if he wanted to catch fish do it from the right side of the boat. They did and filled the boat with fish.
John 21:6 (NIV) … He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.”
Origin of Left & Right…I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the right” and Liberals are called the “left”.
By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) – “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.” Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen.
It surely can’t get any simpler than that.

These leftists are driven by demonic forces and we should stand against them with our waists girded with the truth of God’s word. As Muslims riot and protest that crosses should be removed from the Catholic College they are attending or when they riot and protest against McDonald’s or some other business, we should stand our ground as Paul wrote.
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” – Eph. 6:13-18
Truth, righteousness, Gospel of Peace, shield of faith, knowledge of salvation, sword of the Spirit, and prayer are our weapons and they are mighty through God to the pulling down of the enemy’s strongholds.
But, remember, weapons that are unused are powerless to win the victory. We must actively use them to win.
