The next seal to be opened is the one of persecution.
“When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” – Rev. 6:9-11
The Bible warns Christians to expect persecution but it never says we should accept it – God doesn’t, and all those who persecute will be severely judged by God.
“He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” – Rev. 13:9
King David testifies of the blessings of the Lord in his persecution from the wicked.
“For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall. … For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. … I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. I have wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet. For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.” – Ps. 18:28-39
God has given us weapons and abilities to fight, both in the natural and in the spiritual but He is the One in control and we must be in service to Him. He knows the wicked are under the sway of the Devil and He knows the Devil will oppose His will, that means he will attack those who name the Name of Christ with persecutions of every kind. Jesus told use that the end would be like a woman in birth pangs, they get more frequent and stronger just before the birth. In other words, the closer we get to the end the stronger persecution will become.
As President Trump proceeds with his Make America Great Again campaign, he has placed strong sanctions on China while he negotiates with them. But China has taken a strong stand against the Lord and against the people of God.
Many Chinese Christians have been written in God’s Book of Remembrance as they defy their government and worship the only True God.
“Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name.” – Mal. 3:16
But what about America? We are almost the last nation in the earth still standing for Christian values but, those values are currently under strong attack. And Hollywood, the media and Democrat party are the main vehicles of the attack.
As persecution in America grows it is obvious we are rapidly approaching the fourth stage – violence. Christian florists are arrested for refusing to do weddings for homosexual couples, Christian bakers are arrested for refusing to bake a cake for LGBT clients and a Christian pastor is arrested for opposing Drag Queen recitals at the local library. The former President of the United States argued before the Supreme Court that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis. His health care law forced Christians to perform abortions against their conscience. As the Church is beat down in society, Islamic forces are taking advantage of the situation demanding recognition of their beliefs. Witchcraft and the occult are also raising their ugly heads in our land.
As world-wide persecution increases, we can see the end rapidly approaching. The study by Aid to the Church in Need said the treatment of Christians has worsened substantially in the past two years compared with the two years prior, and has grown more violent than any other period in modern times. The report examined the plight of Christians in China, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria and Turkey over the period lasting from 2015 until 2017. The research showed that in that time, Christians suffered crimes against humanity, and some were hanged or crucified. The report found that Saudi Arabia was the only country where the situation for Christians did not get worse, and that was only because the situation couldn’t get any worse than it already was.
The Fifth Seal is being opened right now. Are we preparing for what’s next?
