Whether it happened December 25th or some time in August is of little consequence, the fact is – IT HAPPENED! The baby Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago. It is the beginning of the Gospel message we Christians proclaim. There is a God and He enters human history and He has moral standards He expect man to follow. It took a supernatural visit to convince Joseph that Mary had not violated this moral code. Jesus, the Son of God, had to be born into a family, a man and a woman joined together in marriage.

Now people like the Freedom From Religion Foundation of Wisconsin don’t like the message the Nativity brings and are working hard to scare spineless Christians to remove it from schools ad other public view.

Jeremy Dys, an attorney with First Liberty Institute, denounced the Freedom From Religion Foundation’s bullying tactics.

“It’s a wonder any school district takes these complaints seriously when the organization that disguises their anti-religious allegations as constitutional violations takes out full page ads in the New York Times and buys national television ads that mock religion. Not only have they forgotten what the Constitution means, they even deny the historical reality of Christmas,”

Nativity scenes used to decorate our schools at Christmas time but, no more. Scenes portraying the Wise Men’s visit giving gifts to Jesus used to decorate public buildings but, no more. Atheists, Muslims, and LGBT advocates have now expunged them from the public view and have instead populated schools and libraries with visits of Drag Queens

flaunting their immorality for public view, even teaching in churches. One Texas English teacher, Anthony Lane. blasted parents who complained about the drag queen’s presence without their consent or knowledge, saying: “The public education system is not here to serve your archaic beliefs.” 

But Christmas still tells its story. There is a supernatural God who has a moral standard He expects mankind to follow. He entered man’s history 2000 years ago as His Son, Jesus the Christ, was born to bring us salvation if we but acknowledge and follow Him. Jesus was born and died on a cross to purchase that salvation for us. As He came that first Christmas, He is coming again to gather all those who have accepted the truth of the Christmas story and claimed it’s reward – salvation.

It is time to remember that this country was founded by people looking for a place to worship God – the Pilgrims and Puritans. And our Constitution does not forbid it. What it does forbid is “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” A school is the delegated authority of the parents of children attending it, and not of the Congress. And if the majority of the parents want a nativity scene, the Congress can’t stop it. And if the school won’t bow to the wishes of the majority of the parents, I suggest those parents should fins another school!

Jesus is the reason for the Christmas season and to remove Him from its practice is unhistorical and unChristian. If you don’t like Christmas, then don’t celebrate it but, don’t force your dislike on the rest of us who do like it.
