“Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess. Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the LORD our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him? … Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,” – Deut. 4:5-9

Alex Newman writes in the newspaper The Epoch Times, “Americans were the best educated people on the planet — just consider the Founding Fathers, and the “Federalist Papers,” to get a sense of the level of education that once prevailed in America.” We have long sense fallen from that lofty level as college students don’t know where Pearl Harbor is or why it is important. Many are ignorant of the events of 9/11. And students entering college don’t even have 7th and 8th grade Math skills. Many students at the college I taught at didn’t have the Math skills to enroll in the electronics classes they wanted so we had to offer new math classes which we named Math 7 and Math 8 to get them up to speed. How has this happened? And how can a majority of college students approve more of a socialist government than a republic?

It is because early disciples of Marx and Lenin decided they could only destroy a successful country by changing the mindset of its children. I remember when I attended Teacher’s College John Dewey and Horace Mann were presented as the heroes of the new education. It was only later that I discovered they were educated in Russia under Communists and began Teachers Colleges in the U.S. to spread their socialistic ideals. Their idea was to put all education under government control and remove it from the local control it originally had. Then they only had to get a few followers in government and they could control the entire country’s education. Their greatest ambition was to get rid of Christianity. And thus we have ‘public education’, that is not public at all, but has been successful at removing God from the school curriculum. Bible reading and prayer were taken out in the 60’s, not by ‘public’ action but by a governmental elite educators.

After several generations of this socialist control, we have all but forgotten the warnings Moses gave to the people of Israel, “Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.” and “Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,”

We have not ‘taken heed to ourselves’ in our relationship to God and we have allowed foreign gods to be worshiped in the land; humanism, socialism, and communism, and paganism. We have allowed Islam to grow and propagate their falseness and violence in the land. And we have turned our children over to the slave masters of Egypt instead of our obeying the requirement to teach our children in the ways of God Almighty.

Is it any wonder we have children marching in the streets proclaiming socialism, or rioting in the streets and burning stores, or shooting one another in drug infested gang wars. The only way out many young people see is sports. It is certainly not in education because truth is the only way up and there is no truth in the modern socialistic educational system. And the Church which should be the way into the truth has sadly fallen into the humanistic trap having women pastors, preaching abortion and the LGBT lifestyle as acceptable to God, all the time asking for your money.
