Paul writes to the Colossians that they were “buried with Christ in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” Therefor He has wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us and taken it out of the way having nailed it to the cross. Paul then finishes with this –
“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations— “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.” Col. 2:16-23
In my last blog, I wrote that the spirit of Antichrist was in the world and in the Church trying to get true believers deceived into forsaking the God of the Bible and to follow his twisted false doctrines. His latest attack is coming through Pope Francis of the Catholic Church. As pressure mounts to tear up the US Constitution once and for all, Pope Francis has added to the sentiment by declaring that gun owners can no longer call themselves Christian, thus ripping up the 2nd. Amendment to the Constitution. The Pontiff asserted a globalist message of banning firearms in order for humanity to enter into a “new world unity.” He further trashed the American Constitution claiming it was a document of mere men and uninspired by God. Paul tells the Colossians all such things are “according to the commandments and doctrines of men” and not of God.
The Pope is speaking in favor of a ‘one world’ government, of which, the United States is the biggest road block to. One might ask, “If he is so opposed to gun ownership by the people, then why is the Vatican guarded by guards with guns?” He is preaching the spirit of Antichrist’s message the Apostle Paul was writing against — “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle”. The Catholic church has a long history of doing just that – “meatless Fridays”, and priests and Nuns don’t marry, to name a few.
Coronavirus hits China
History is a great teacher if we would but listen and learn from it. Every dictator and totalitarian government in the past has taken the rights of its citizens to bear arms away from them. Socialism and Communism are just the recent examples of this. Venezuela and China are prime examples of this.. China has such control over the people that it can allow 10’s of thousands of it’s citizens to die with the coronavirus before it was pressured into action by the world community.
The UN is another sponsor of the ‘one world government” and we can see how that sort of government would work by looking at how the the UN works. It has an Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), which is supposed to provide oversight and provide help against those governments that are committing atrocities against their citizens. But, in fact, those who come to them with a grievance are turned over to the aggrieving country. It has recently been revealed that China is the biggest actor in this practice. The spirit of Antichrist is gaining control quickly which is a warning to believers of the soon revelation of the Antichrist. That will be the ultimate darkness. So, what can we do?
We can be light. We can let our light shine, knowing that light can overcome the darkness. We can stop seeking the things of the world and set our mind on things above, as Paul wrote –
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.” – Col. 3:1-11
