Recent 5.7 earthquake in Utah
When Jesus gave His teaching on end-time events in Matt. 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, He specifically mentioned earthquakes and pestilences.
“And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” – Luke 21:11

There is no doubt about the significant rise in major earthquakes as the USGS statistics show. And now we are being hit with major pandemic pestilences just as Jesus predicted. The most recent is the Corona virus that we are in the middle of.

Amid fears of a looming pandemic, scientists in the US and across the globe are scrambling to develop vaccines – including in Israel, where one group of researchers says it could be ready in just three weeks and available for use within 90 days. The scientists at the Galilee Research Institute, known as MIGAL, are adapting its vaccine against the avian coronavirus infectious bronchitis virus, or IBV, to work for the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19, the Jerusalem Post reported.
But, we, who belong to the Lord, already have a vaccine, it is the Blood of Jesus.
“Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good thing, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” ~ Psalm 103:1-5
“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” ~ Isaiah 53:5
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” ~ James 5:14-15
In the Book of Revelation before these pestilences were released on the earth, God sealed His servants in their foreheads to protect them (Rev. 7:3). We are sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until our redemption.
“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” – Eph. 1:13, 14
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” – Eph. 4:30
This Corona virus will not be the last pandemic that will strike the earth but it is not something that those who are in the Lord should fear for we are sealed by the Holy Spirit against them. We should look upon this virus with faith in the promises of Jesus and the Word of God. There is healing in the name of Jesus.
This virus is striking the god of sports and entertainment by shutting them down. Schools are no longer free to continue their attack on conservative principles and spread their infection of socialist principles, and children are reunited with their families. Believers will be forced to meet in small home gatherings where they will no longer be just spectators in the services but will have to personally get involved just like they did in the Book of Acts. As the stock market and banks close, the greed of men will be exposed and people will be forced to depend upon the Lord instead of man. People will be forced to turn toward the Lord for His protection and guidance once again. Yes, the COVID-19 virus can be a blessing in disguise for those who trust in the Lord.
Over the past three years I have written about the signs the Lord is providing us of His soon return. From the rise in Christian persecution to the falling away of the church from the true faith. The increase of earthquakes and pestilences are just more of these signs. Don’t let fear rule over you but rather look up, for your redemption draws ever closer.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” – Luke 21:28 KJV
