Revelation chapter 8 describes the first four of the seven angels who had trumpets of judgement: 1st angel sounds and “And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up”, the 2nd angel sounds and “And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed”, the 3rd angel sounds “And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter”, the 4th angel sounded “And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.”
NASA scientists are now tracking a Binary asteroid named Apophis, named after the Egyptian God of Darkness. It will arrive April 13, 2029 which is Friday the 13th. They are saying it will be a near miss passing between our satellites orbiting the earth and earth. However, other scientists say there is no way you can predict the orbit of a 1200 ft asteroid traveling 10’s of thousands of miles per hour will come between earth and its satellites and not hit the earth, especially when it is nine years and tens of thousands of miles away from us. NASA scientists are saying that it will miss the earth this time but it will return in 2036 and it may hit the earth then.
These first four angel trumpets could describe one event, that of a huge binary asteroid hitting the earth. First, as the asteroid approaches it brings a large field of burning space debris with it that would scorch the earth just as the first trumpet does. Secondly, since Apophis is a binary (two) asteroid, half of it could hit the ocean killing the fish and destroying any ships present. It would also vaporize huge clouds of water into the atmosphere. It would also cause a shock wave setting off tsunamis and earthquakes. Thirdly, the second half of Apophis could hit the earth also causing a shock wave that sets off earthquakes and volcanoes. It’s heat would also vaporize elements in the earth, such as arsenic, which could poison the fresh water streams and even the underground aqua-firs. This is what happened at Chernobyl Russia resulting in so many dying. Fourthly, The vapor from the ocean, the volcanoes activated, and debris from the shock of the impact would rise into the atmosphere blocking the sun for some time. Scientists say that the shock would be equivalent to all the nuclear bombs in the world being set off at one time.
Will this happen? In light of recent heavenly signs and in light of the Pope’s efforts to set up a One World Religion and in light of Bill Gates’ and the UN’s efforts to introduce the One World Government and give everyone an identity chip, I’d say it is a distinct possibility. Especially, when a proven modern day prophet, Tom Horn, has had a vision of just such an event happening.
So what should we do in light of these possibilities? Seek God like never before. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to us. Remember that in the end days the enemy’s deception will be magnified. He will try to deceive the Church as an angel of light.
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” – 2 Cor. 11:13, 14
Our protection against his deceptions is the word of God. As Paul told Timothy –
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, hat the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Tim. 3:16, 17
While there are many deceptions and ‘false apostles’ of Christ in our world I want to aim at just one right now – the “once saved, always saved” doctrine that has captured a large number in the Church. To do this I will insert a teaching of Joe Sweet of Shekinah Worship Center in Lancaster CA. It is quite long but, he says it much better than I could.
This “once saved, always saved” doctrine has given many in the Church a false sense of security and blinded them to the spiritual danger they are in and that includes the many who are living worldly lives trusting in their infant baptisms to save them. As we consider the judgement coming on the world we must remember scripture says “judgement begins at the house of God”. Therefore, I don’t want to accept any teaching that is contrary to the word of God, which is our sure anchor.
Please do not allow yourself to fall away from following Jesus or don’t stop going to church because of some hurt you received in church. The Church is full of converted sinners who are yet learning to love God and you are one of them. If your church is preaching false doctrines speak to the pastor and if he won’t change, find another church that does preach the whole word of God. The hour is late and the Lord’s coming is soon to happen. Don’t let any pet sins stop you from repenting and returning to God.
