“It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.” – Rev. 13:7

In the Book of Revelation, John describes a future ruler who is Satan’s final attempt to defeat God and His people. He is known as the Antichrist in most Christian circles. However, John never calls him by that name. John calls him “the beast”. According to John, he is

part of another “beast” that rises out of the sea (representing the Gentile nations) having ten horns on his head. Parts of him look like a leopard, a bear, and a lion but in reality he is a dragon (I teach about these beasts in another article). These horns are ten kings who give their power to him. Out of one of these horns grows another horn who is speaking great blasphemies against God. This horn was given authority to rule for 3½ years (forty-two months) and the people of the earth proclaimed “Who is like the beast and Who is able to make war with him?” And then John states, “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them.” Daniel speaks a great deal about this “horn” that comes out of the beast. This is the one who leads the forces of the devil against the “woman” (Israel) and drives her into the wilderness in Revelation 12. When he can’t get at the woman because God is protecting her, he turns with great wrath against the Christians of the world. Thus begins “the great tribulation” Jesus warned His disciple about.

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” – Matt. 24:21

But John is not yet done with his vision. He sees yet another beast coming up out out of the earth –

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” – Rev. 13:11-18

There are two “beasts” we have to be aware of: the 1st beast is the Antichrist and the 2nd beast is known as the False Prophet. They are “joined at the hip” so to speak. One is political and the other is religious but both are doing the Devil’s work. And, we are very close to their revealing. The spirit behind them is already at work. He is known as the spirit of Antichrist.

Note that these two beasts “speak great blasphemies against God”. One is political so, where do you see political leaders speaking blasphemy against God? A leading candidate is the Democrat Party who rejected God from their platform.

And Democrats, as recent headlines show, are  amending the requirement that those testifying before the House Committee on Natural Resources will swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth — without the “so help you God” finish line. The Democrat Party has changed and it is no longer an American party as a recent article in American Thinker points out –

Today’s Democrats: Anti-Christian, Anti-Israel, Anti-God

By Trevor Thomas :Anyone who considers himself a friend of God must have at least great pause when it comes to modern Democrats.  Seldom has a major American political party so distanced itself from the notion that, as President John Adams pointed out, “righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Another example is Canada’s Trudeau whose war on Christianity is growing. In a recent article of Christian Post titled In Trudeau’s Canada, Christians are Not Welcome, the following statement was written –

 

“According to a new clause introduced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, pro-life Christians will be barred from federal funding unless they support a woman’s right to an abortion. Conservative Christian applicants for the youth summer jobs program, which provides grants to not-for-profit employers in order to encourage the hiring of students, must betray their conscience in order to qualify for federal funds.

“I have met Justin Trudeau three times,” said Pastor Steve Long, a Canadian Baptist minister. “Sadly my last meeting with him in his office was very disappointing. He told […] me that evangelical Christians were the worst part of Canadian society.”

There are ample examples of other European leaders anti-God and anti-Christian stances. The EU leads the pack in its anti-Jewish actions and statements.

But, these are just political leaders and there are just as many hypocritical statements and actions being spewed forth by religious leaders as well. The Pope is being condemned as a heretic, Protestants have begun ordaining women as pastors even though the Bible is against it –

“A bishop (pastor) then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;” – 1 Tim. 3:2

“And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.” – 1 Tim. 2:12

How can a woman be the “husband of one wife”? And women are not to have authority over a man in the Church. This has led to many other sinful attitudes coming out of the Church; such as abortion support, homosexual support, and even pornography support. Some are even declaring God to be a woman! Now what does this say about the Church members who OK such actions? I’ll tell you what it says – the spirit of Antichrist has made his home there!

When the political, social, and religious realms are under this spirit’s control, then the scene will be set for the appearance of the Antichrist. Folks, it is not far away. I’m talking about a period of just years. That is why this election in November of 2020 is so important. The Apostle Paul warns us about these times –

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.” – 1 Thes. 5:1-6

Paul also wrote –

“Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He (he) who now restrains will do so until He (he) is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one (Antichrist) will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” – 2 Thes. 2:5-8

God has used many restrainers in the past; Ahasuerus and Esther restrained wicked Haman from destroying the Jews in Babylon, and He used Jehu to restrain Ahab and Jezebel, and He used the United States and Great Britain to restrain Hitler during WWII. The restrainer is not necessarily a righteous entity, all that is required is that they do God’s will of restraining. I believe President Trump is fulfilling this function for the United States and Israel. He may not be perfect but he is standing for America, the Christianity, and Israel. I also believe it is God’s will that he have four more years so, that the Church can complete its God-given mission to reach the world with the Gospel of the kingdom.

I believe the devil knows this as well and that is why there is such resistance against President Trump and look at from whom the main resistance is coming; Hollywood, the
Democrat liberals and globalists, China, Russia, and the EU – all who have a Communist one-world agenda. And don’t believe that all in the church have a “kingdom of God” agenda either.

Paul also wrote that the Antichrist would come with “all unrighteous deception” and that those who believe it would perish “because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Jesus said “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”  In other words, ‘set apart those who believe in Your word’ and protect them from the deception of the Antichrist.

Stop believing most of what is presented as news by the media. Also, not all in the Republican Party are representing God either. There are many ‘pro-choice’ republicans and also those who are one-world government proponents as well. So who can you trust? Trust the Word of God. It is written in plain English and with the help of the Holy Spirit you can understand it. And, it alone will prepare you for what is ahead.
