As I watched the first Presidential debate, I was greatly disappointed. I was disappointed in the moderator’s style, who felt he had to inject his opinions before each question, and at his choice of questions. I was disappointed at the former Vice President’s seeming lack of ability to answer the questions truthfully (questions to which I knew the answer from his previous answers and actions), or completely skirting the question. And I was disappointed in President Trump’s failure to remain calm and answer the question by clearly listing the things I know he has done. I’ve seen a listing of things he has done in his first term and it is long and impressive. Perhaps it was more the moderator’s fault for not asking the right questions but, I felt the debate failed in its objective to bring out the truth. Because, as Jesus said –

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32

But then, perhaps the fault was mine for expecting truth from political and media systems that have long ago left behind the standard of truth. As Isaiah prophesied –

“Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.” – Isa. 59:14

There is only one place to look for truth and that is to the Lord and His word. Scriptures are clear, that in the end of days justice, righteousness, and truth will be hard to find.

“But know this, that in the last days perilous (fierce) times will come For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” – 2 Tim. 3:1-5

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, … For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” – Rom. 1:16-27

We are promised by Kamala Harris, AOC, and many other Democrats that if Trumps wins the election,  or if he gets Judge Amy Coney Barrett appointed as Supreme Court Justice, we can expect violence in the streets. Democrats have become the party of LGBTQ lifestyles, which the Bible condemns, and they are now known as the Party of Death for their open arms to the abortion industry. And if you type antifa.com in your search bar, you will taken to Joe Biden’s web page. No wonder he won’t publicly condemn them! There is no truth to be had in the Democrat Party and I call for those who claim to be Christian to leave it or face the judgment the Apostle Paul writes to the Thessalonians about –

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” – 2 Thes. 2:9-12

There is only one place to find the truth and that is in the Scriptures where the word of God is revealed, the Bible. We need to spend time in His word, alone and in small groups. We need to be like those that prophet Malachi speaks about –

“Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name. “They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.” – Mal. 3:16-18

Then, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!
