Ever since the January 6th breach of the U.S. Capital, blamed on Trump supporters – unproven of course, the attack on Homeschooling has increased. And since Christians make up the largest block of homeschoolers, liberal leftists must associate this breach with “white Christian nationalism”. It just another phase of the attack of ‘Critical Race Theory’ on America. The Epoch Times has an excellent article titled “Attacks on Christian Homeschooling are no longer Subtle”. And these Critical Racist want to eliminate Christianity from America and to take the right to educate your children from you and place it in the hands of government elites.
The state of Washington Governor recently signed a bill mandating that all public schools in his state teach Critical Race Training. “Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has signed into law a bill that incorporates the doctrine of “equity, cultural competency, and dismantling institutional racism” into the training for all K–12 educators across the state.” Of course, for those who don’t know Critical Race Theory is a communist based curriculum that teaches “white privilege” concept and basically blames white privilege for all of society’s troubles.
I want to point out what some of our founding fathers thought about Christian education. First are some quotes of John Adams, the second President of the United States –
The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.
Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company: I mean hell.
The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity.
Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . . What a Eutopia – what a Paradise would this region be!
I have examined all religions, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world.
John Adams: SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; JUDGE; DIPLOMAT; ONE OF TWO SIGNERS
OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS; SECOND PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Next is a quote from Governor Morse, a signer of the Constitution –
“For avoiding the extremes of despotism or anarchy . . . the only ground of hope must be on the morals of the people. I believe that religion is the only solid base of morals and that morals are the only possible support of free governments. Therefore education should teach the precepts of religion and the duties of man towards God.” – Gouverneur Morris, Penman and Signer of the Constitution.
But, as Christians, we have an even higher calling than United States Citizen, that of a citizen of Heaven –
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” – Phil. 3:20
And we have an obligation to follow Heaven’s play book –
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” – 2 Tim. 3:16
Scripture clearly teaches us to be in charge of the training of our own children.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Prov. 22:6
“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,” – Deut. 4:9
And even if Christians should deem to send their children to public schools, they need to be actively involved with the curriculum choices of that school! But, the foreign doctrine that is now being pushed upon us is not American, it is right out of the Chinese Communist play book. Modern public schools are all controlled by the doctrine of Humanism whose main tenant is there is no God but man! I do not say that all teachers are proponents of this doctrine but, then teachers do not control the curriculum anymore. I am a retired educator with 30 years of experience; 4 in High Schools and the rest in Junior College where I taught Physics, Chemistry and Math. So, I have some knowledge of what I speak. Christian children are at risk in such an environment without constant parental involvement and instruction in the home. It would be better if they were Homeschooled.
The forces of Antichrist are strongly at work in the United States and they sense weakness; weakness in the government, the education system, and the church. Their attack is an all-out attack on every front and one of their main fronts is Christianity. What better than to attack Christian children, and so they are!
Remember parents, these are your children – not the governments. God is holding you responsible for their education so don’t surrender it to the government!
“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.” – Psalm 127:3-5
Amen! Home school if possible or sacrifice to pay for a good Christian school.
I’ve heard that Rand Paul’s Home School for Self-starters is excellent .
