I have just returned from a vacation trip out west, to Colorado, from the dry semi-desert to the lush green of Wisconsin. I also had a vacation from most of the news (bad news mostly) that blankets our airways. And I returned to a big stack of mail alerting me to one problem after another, or asking me for a donation. But, this morning, the Lord directed my reading to Psalm 60 which I quote here –

You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth.  That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me. – Psalm 60:4, 5

There is good news and the Lord has given us a banner and it declares He is coming! Banners are mostly waved by armies and we are the army of the Lord. Our banner is truth for the lord is truth. At a time when all we hear out of Washington and on the news media are lies, we need to wave truth like a battle banner. As the forces of ‘wokeness’ try to subdue us with their lies, the truth will set us free. As this government tries to shut down the Church with the fear of Covid19 telling us not to meet or not to sing, we need to wave the Scripture –

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. – Heb. 10:24, 25

Is the Day of the Lord approaching? Definitely YES! That means we should be meeting together even more than once a week as the manner of some is!

As the forces of ‘wokeness’ try to divide us by racism, try to tear down our history and try to change our Constitution and force Communism upon us, we need to wave as a battle banner the Scripture that says –

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. – Gal. 5:1

After all, it is Christ that has set us free and our forefathers had the good sense to know it and they drafted a Constitution that reflected it! There is no freedom in any other form of government, nor has there ever been! America has indeed been “like a city set upon a hill” like a beacon for the world. But, for it to work Christians need to be the light God intended for them to be. Jesus said to believers –

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Mat. 5:13-16

The Church of Jesus Christ should be a beacon of truth, a model for the world to follow. That means we should have the strongest families – no divorce, no abortions, no adultery – and we should be a beacon of truth shinning against abortion, against homosexuality and transgenderism, against witchcraft and idolatry, and against governmental hypocrisy! Our pulpits should be ablaze with calls for holiness and pureness. And the only fear that should be found in the church is the fear of God! Shame on those churches that closed their doors in fear of this so-called CCP pandemic instead of trusting in God and His promises.

During this time of vacation I did listen to a message from Mario Murillo which sounded the trumpet call to arms for all Christians. I will post his video, called Man on Fire, in which he called for the Church to unite and for Christians to wake up to the lateness of the hour.

God’s plan for the ages will still come to pass but, unless we American Christians wake up and take our place America may not fulfill it’s God given destiny.
