Many today see these as the days of trouble and indeed there is trouble throughout the world and in America as well. Some, who believe in a pre-tribulation rapture are looking for the soon return of Jesus on the clouds of glory to take them out. But it would be good to once again review what Jesus actually said about the end days.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” – Matt. 24:29-31

Notice, He said ‘after the tribulation of those days’, in other words we will be here to see those tribulation days. Not until the sun is darkened and the moon fails to give her light will we see Him returning on the clouds with His angels. Next Jesus told the parable of the good and evil servants. The evil servant did not prepare for his masters coming but the good servant took care of the people giving them food and serving his master. In other words, we are to be faithful doing the master’s work right up until He comes, regardless of the kind of day that is going on. Jesus said the Word of God was bread and food.

Jesus’ message is “Occupy until I come!” Remember how the Church began, it was not in peaceful times but in times of trouble! The government worked against the Church. The religious community worked against the Church. Nothing the government did followed Biblical teaching and the culture of the day was also opposed to Scriptural truth. Is that any different today? Who took the Ten Commandments down from public display? Who outlawed prayer to God from the schools? Who eliminated the Pledge of Allegiance from the schools? The government! Our culture: Hollywood, the news media, and education, are not promoting Biblical teaching today. In fact, their CRT doctrines, their homosexual agenda, as well as their transgenderism, are directly opposed to Biblical view! So, what are we, the followers of God to do about it? Are we to allow our churches to be locked down, wear masks to hide our faces and cover our mouths, or are we to be like the three Hebrew children of Daniel 3 who defied King Nebuchadnezzar?   The King said –

“Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?” – Dan. 3:15

But they answered the King –

“O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” – Dan. 3:16-18

Shadrack, Meshack, and Abed-nego did not yield to the fear, they did not bow down to the gods of this world and were willing to yield their bodies to God Almighty. They did not yield to the horns and flutes of the media of their day, and they did not listen to their proclamations to a false idol (Dr. Fausi and the NIH).

As Isaiah prophesied, “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” – Isa. 60:2. Darkness is upon the land and the people are in gross darkness, but it is not a time to hide! Rather it is a time to “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.” Go out into the fields for the harvest is ripe and the Holy Spirit is falling on those who obey.
