God is speaking to the nation of Israel and specifically to the religious of Israel and He refers to Levi –

“My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, And I gave them to him that he might fear Me; So, he feared Me And was reverent before My name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity and turned many away from iniquity. For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. But you have departed from the way; You have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, Says the LORD of hosts.” – Malachi 2:5-8

They were allowing injustice to go on without speaking out against it and they were not teaching the truth about wicked practices they saw in society. They had forgotten that they were messengers of the Lord to declare what He called good and what He called evil. God has not changed, and He feels the same way about America. God continues with His accusations –

“For Judah has profaned The LORD’s holy institution which He loves: He has married the daughter of a foreign god.” – Malachi 2:11

God is absolutely against His churches celebrating Chrislam, saying that Allah is as great as God. He is against sending your children to schools that teach humanism, which is a false religion, as well as communism and they force the children to partake in Islamic ceremonies. And they deny God’s sacred law, the 10 Commandments. In the face of such wickedness many of today’s pastors are silent. They are even denying God’s creation of man by saying there are more than two genders, that God didn’t just make them man and woman. They have denied what God spoke at Mt. Horeb –

“And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, especially concerning the day you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.” – Deut. 4:9-10

And then the government demands that we pay taxes so these schools can continue teaching these lies and the pastors are silent about it. They could at least encourage homeschooling! God continues with His accusations –

“You have wearied the LORD with your words; Yet you say, “In what way have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “Everyone who does evil Is good in the sight of the LORD, And He delights in them,” Or, “Where is the God of justice?” – Malachi 2:17

How many Christians are Democrats and how many pastors are Democrats even though the Democrat party platform enshrines abortion and their whole party supports it! That’s calling evil good! The Democrat administration is shutting down our energy and forcing ‘green new deals’ on us even though they don’t work, and the loss of energy has led to rampant inflation and supply chain shortages. That’s calling evil good! These Democrat pastors shut down the revival in New York just because Mario Murillo said something good about President Trump. They choose Democrat ideology over God’s revival and that’s choosing evil over good!

Because of these things and more God pronounced judgement upon them and He will as well on us for doing the same things and more!

“And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien— Because they do not fear Me,” says the LORD of hosts. – Malachi 3:5

Our churches are filled with those dabbling with witchcraft, especially the young, and those committing adultery (God calls divorce and remarriage adultery), and those who perjure (bear false witness), and many businessmen who exploit their wage earners, but there is seldom a message from the pulpit against such practices! As long as you are a giver and tithe, you are safe from these pastors! The alters of most churches should be full of those seeking repentance if the ‘law of truth and injustice’ was found in their pastors! Now we all have failed in some point, but God wants there to be the ‘fear of the Lord’ upon us that will drive us to the alter in repentance! God says –

“For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” – Malachi 3:6

God wants us to know the He has not changed, He still expects holiness and righteousness from His people, but He also wants us to know that He stands ready to receive us back if we repent! And lest you think you are not Jewish, of Jacob, remember that every Gentile believer has been grafted into the root of Jacob,

God is always faithful to His covenants, and He made a covenant with the founders of this country therefore He warns us about the coming judgement –

“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch.” – Malachi 4:1

God is speaking of the final days. Did not Peter say while the earth would not be destroyed again by water, it is reserved to be destroyed by fire? But even in judgement God is merciful to those who trust in Him and He will send a way of protection –

“Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” – Malachi 4:4-6

God sent John the Baptist in the spirit of Elijah to perform this task.

“He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”- Luke 1:17

He turned the hearts of the fathers to the children by reminding them of God’s 10 Commandments and he spoke out against the injustices of his day, calling the people to repentance. God has promised to send another, or others, in the spirit of Elijah to do the same before the final judgement falls. I long to see fathers taking their places, families restored, And I long to see Christians speaking out against the untruth and injustices in our nation but most of all I long to see repentance sweeping the nation. And it appears it may be starting.
