The people have chosen the god of Molech.
My heart is very sad this morning. Wisconsin has chosen in support of a godless woman for State Supreme Court, one who believes in the killing of babies, just because they are yet in the womb and one who by her own admission does not mind ‘putting her finger on the pans of justice’ to get her own way. Wisconsin has chosen the way of crime as this woman repeatedly has let the most dangerous criminals go free in her court. The lament of Isaiah has come true for Wisconsin –
“Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” – Isa. 59:14
As Wisconsinites gave this woman over 200,000 more votes than they did to a Christian man who believes in honoring the Constitution and enforcing the law they will earn the judgement Isaiah pronounced –
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” – Isa. 5:20
Because of this Isaiah pronounced the judgement that would come upon them –
“Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, and as the fire consumes the chaff, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” – Isa. 5:24
God’s first judgement would be upon their finance which is fostered by their agriculture. All the young people who voted for this woman will be hurt in their education because there is no truth being taught, and because it takes money to attend school and their parent’s resources will be dried up! Businesses will be hurt as well, as crime begins to rise and they become like Chicago or New Orleans (whose crime rates are so high people are moving out), and the people’s income starts to decrease. Ultimately all citizens will be hurt as Justice is turned back and there will be no equality for anyone, all because people chose evil instead of good. It may take some time, but the result will be inevitable. God will not be mocked, and He watches over His word to perform it. In this age when much of the church is teaching greasy grace and sloppy agape the truth of God is unknown to many, but God also said, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Gal. 6:7). Even Christians, who make it into heaven by the skin of their teeth will have to answer –
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.” – 2Cor. 5:10-11
While the news is all bad for those who do not know God, even those who profess Him but follow the ways of the world, there is good news for those who fear the LORD and obey His words. In the midst of judgement God will notice them –
“Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So, a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name. They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” – Malachi 3:16-18
As we look upon the wickedness that is enveloping our world, we can take comfort in the knowledge that it won’t be for long – God’s judgement is going to set all things right again! Meanwhile, we should be about the Father’s business. declaring the good news that Jesus conquered death and that there is yet forgiveness for those who turn to Him. He has sent the Holy Spirit to help us overcome the world and its wickedness. The people of God will once again be able to discern between those who serve God and those who don’t!
