Preparing for the Close of the Age

One of the foundational truths of end-time prophecy is that the Antichrist will set up the ‘abomination of desolation’ in it.

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand)” – Matt. 24:15

Jesus was referring to Daniel’s prophecy that was first fulfilled by the Syrian Antiochus Epiphany during the Maccabean period. Antiochus erected a statue of Zeus in abomination-of-desolationthe Temple and sacrificed pigs on the Temple Altar. However, both Daniel and Jesus forecast that this would happen again in the last days with the Antichrist. But, to do this requires the Temple be rebuilt and this requires the original location of the Temple to be known. Many believe what is called the Temple Mount is the location, but to build the Temple there  would bring on a major conflict, as the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque are on the Temple Mount. However, a growing number of archaeologists and Bible scholars are looking at another sight as the following video will show.

In a recent History Channel showing named The God Code, author
Timothy Smith reveals how he discovered a code in the Bible text that places Solomon’s Temple directly above the Gihon Spring. Other archaeologists are busy uncovering the City of David and have recently uncovered the Pool of Siloam. These seem to confirm that the Temple of Solomon was to the south of what is now called The Temple Mount.

Besides rediscovering ancient sites, another group named the Temple Institute is busy recreating the furniture that will be needed in the Temple worship. The ancient Sanhedrin is now reconstituted and several colleges have been started to train Temple Trump-half-shekel-768x450Priests in Temple worship. The Sanhedrin has only recently minted the new ½ Shekel coin, which is required for Temple worship, and it has the image of Cyrus and Trump on the face, honoring them as two who helped Israel rebuild the Temple. President Trump’s declaration naming Jerusalem as Israel’s capital has more hidden meanings than most realize. All of these developments suggest the rebuilding of the Temple may be closer than most believe.

Israeli F-15

Israeli F-15s

Then we also have military-political tensions sharply on the rise between Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Turkey, Russia and the United States. Syria’s recent use again of chemical warfare against its opposition is almost certain to bring on new military action. Iran is continuing to test Israel’s resolve to keep them from forming military bases in Syria. No one knows yet just what measures the United States will take against Syria and Russia for the recent use of chemical weapons, chemicals that Putin said he would remove from Syria last year!

Hamas in Gaza is being equipped and trained by Hezbollah to attack Israel as a 5th column as Hezbollah is preparing for war with Israel. This could very well unleash the Psalm 83 war which will likely lead into the Ezekiel 38 war. All the players seem to be moving into place.

This is a time to watch and pray. We only know these things will happen, and not exactly when. We can however see that they are getting closer. We can make sure we are prepared by seeking God, praying that we, our families and friends, and our nations are prepared to be on God’s side!

Zechariah and the Dividing of Jerusalem

year of the treesIn my last post, Zechariah Speaks to our Day, I highlighted God’s plan; (1) to restore Israel, (2) to restore Jerusalem, (3) and to restore His House (Temple). As Jonathan Cahn shared, over the last three Jubilees, beginning with the Balfour Declaration in 1917 and ending with President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem being the capitol of Israel in December, 2016, the first two parts of God’s plan have been fulfilled. All that remains is the restoration of His House. I used the beginning chapter of the prophet Zechariah to highlight this plan but, I want to especially point out several facts that I didn’t cover in the first posting –

“And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.” – Zech. 1:15,16 Continue reading

Zechariah Speaks to our Day

Jerusalem Coming “So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.” – Zechariah 1:14-16

The Blessings of Noel

(Recorded by Day of Destiny, 2017)

The word Noel is such a beautiful word and there is so much bad news in the world that we need some good news from time to time. Noel  means “a shout of joy or Christmas song.” (from Webster’s 1828 Dictionary) and it was used to designate the calendar period from December 24 – January 6. The word is not found in the Bible but it celebrates the central event found in the Bible, the coming of Messiah. The hymn THE FIRST NOEL would mean the first birthday. It is an English Carol arraigned in 1871 by John Stainer.

I love it’s meaning – ‘a shout of joy’! In the midst of all the wickedness in this world; governments oppressing their own people and threatening others to gain their own power, political parties lying and plotting against their rivals for the sake of control, religious leaders more interested in money and control than they are for the Truth of God’s word, – in the midst of all this, there is something to be joyous about – the birthday of the Messiah. Think about what Isaiah prophesied about Him –

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” – Isa. 53:4, 5

We think He paid for our sins and through Him we can be forgiven, and that is true but, He did much more – he has borne our griefs’. According to Strong’s Concordance the word grief’ means sickness, disease, grief  and ‘borne’ means to lift off or take away. He suffered in our place and was beaten and whipped even though He had done nothing wrong. The whip used on Him had many leather strips with pieces of iron embedded in them so they literally ripped the flesh away from the victim when whipped. Those are the ‘stripes’ by which we are healed – past tense!

For those who repent and receive Jesus as Messiah, not only are they forgiven, made clean, but they are also healed. The same faith that forgives you also heals you. It all comes in the same package! You only have to believe it and give Noel for it – ‘the shout of joy”.

Most of us are living in a fallen world as captives; captives to our unbelief and doubt, captives to the enslavement of the devil’s lies, or captives to our ignorance of the truth. But, Jesus declares “the truth will set you free”

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32

Now, this is good news that is worthy of the declaration NOEL!

Many think the season of Noel is from December 24 – January 6 but, what it celebrates is for all year long and for every  year until the Messiah returns. Don’t be cheated out of your blessings it promises.

Will the Lord find faith when He comes?

Jeremiah

The Prophets wept for Israel

“Woe is me!
For I am like those who gather summer fruits,
Like those who glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires. The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net. That they may successfully do evil with both hands— The prince asks for gifts, the judge seeks a bribe, and the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.” – Micah 7:1-3

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water. ….. A voice was heard on the desolate heights, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel. For they have perverted their way; They have forgotten the LORD their God. “Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.

Indeed we do come to You, for You are the LORD our God. Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains; Truly, in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.” – Jeremiah 2:13, 3:21-23

At the risk of being called too negative, I share this message. I believe the prophets Micah and Jeremiah, though they spoke hundreds of years ago to Israel, are speaking through the Holy Spirit to our generation as well. At a time of harvest, Micah laments that the Lord can find little fruit and he plainly identifies the reason; faithful men are being quieted and wickedness is being exalted. Leaders, who should do righteousness, sell their influence to those who pay the most (or for the sake of votes), judges forsake justice (which is always based on God’s will) ruling instead out of their own rebellion and corruption. There are many examples I could site but I will use just one – Canadian leader Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government forces employers to endorse abortion and LGTB agenda in order to receive governments grants or contracts. Similar actions have taken place in the England and the U.S. as well as those who stand for Biblical truth are being censored and ridiculed.

persecutionaug162016“215 million Christians experience high levels of persecution” around the world, according to Open Doors, a human rights organization. On its recently released World Watch List 2018, which ranks the world’s 50 worst nations wherein to be Christian, 3,066 Christians were killed, 1,252 abducted, and 1,020 raped or sexually harassed on account of their faith; and 793 churches were attacked or destroyed.  The Islamic world had the lion’s share of this persecution; 38 of the 50 worst nations are Muslim-majority. The report further cites “Islamic oppression” behind the “extreme persecution” that prevails in eight of the 10 worst nations.
So, what do we find in the western world, including the United States? Politicians, corporations, and the Courts bending over backwards to promote and protect Islam and abominations like abortion and LBGT lifestyles! The state of California is even teaching Islamic religion in their public schools!
I am writing these words to those who believe the Bible is the Word of God because they are the only ones who can change these things through the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit, which they alone have. The lukewarm Christians will not and the wicked cannot reach a righteous God with prayer, as they have no light to shine on the situation. They have already kneeled to the spirit of Antichrist and God has given them a spirit of delusion so they cannot see the truth as Paul writes –
“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. – 2 Thes. 2:11,12

It is time for the righteous to take up their weapons and join the battle and remember what James wrote, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” This does not mean that we are perfect but, that the Lord has given His righteousness to us and we follow Him.

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lordthe righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” – 2 Tim. 4:8

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” – 2 Cor. 5:21

Light that cannot be contained

This is from last year but it needs to be said again. Pass it on and join the revolution to take our culture back for Jesus.

Prophecy for Today

canadian-jordan-peterson_truth-is-hate-speechUniversity of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson faces censure for not using gender neutral pronoun ‘zhe

In Canada, it is already against the law to preach a sermon against homosexuality or use any speech that might disagree with the social norms of the liberal left-wingers. Under left-wingers, mostly Democrats, the economy is dying a slow death, especially for low and medium income families, yet we seem to find the money to fund all kinds of senseless projects such as Why are there so few female bass singers? Gender norms of course or A queer-feminist, postcolonial and race critical theory PhD thesis on salsa dancing. Meanwhile, our Air Force cannot afford to repair its airplanes or fly the needed practice missions, or we cannot take care of our veterans or keep up with Medicare and Social Security costs. Higher education costs are going through the roof, so to speak, but…
