Time for Truth (reposted)

I originally posted this article in February, 2015, a month before the 2015 Blood Red Moons occurred. Not much has changed on the political landscape, except the Democrat spin machine has grown even more divisive and bitter. I felt it was time to repost the article.

Biden_ObamaWoe to us! Another political election is nearing! As if we do not hear enough lies and disinformation from the news media already, now it is amplified by all the political maneuvering of Democrats and Republicans as they try to tell the most believable lies to the people to get their votes – lies which history proves they have little intention of keeping! Mystery Babylon chapter 1

Harlot of Rev

Mystery Babylon, as John called her in Revelation 17:5, has appeared many times throughout history but her final portrait is revealed to John as a harlot, decked in the royal colors of the priesthood, with scarlet and purple robbing as described by Peter (1 Peter 2:9). But, she is false and riding upon the Beast which represents the spirit of Antichrist. While she talks religion, she ‘fornicates’ with the world. Her actions, both past and present, reveal her true nature to those with eyes to see. She is a persecutor of all who love the truth of God’s word and cannot be deceived by her. Continue reading

The Battle for the Truth

Man is accountable to the God of the Universe

The Bible has much to say about our situation in America today. Our news media abounds with stories of violence, political betrayals, racial tensions, and fake news stories designed to advance their political agenda. We have leaders who enjoy the power and influence that inevitably come with leadership but few that embrace the responsibility that should guide them. Leaders haven’t changed much throughout history – but our qualification standards they must meet have! God revealed what these standards should be  to Moses through Jethro, his father-in-law: Continue reading

Lessons from the Church of Pergamum

The Church of Pergamum was known as the ‘compromising church’ because it tried to mix worldliness with righteousness. It can’t be done – in the end they would lose both! I begin this article with the video on Pergamum –

When the Greek successor of Alexander the Great, Antiochus IV Epiphanes,  invaded Israel he took over the Temple and desecrated it by erecting an altar to Zeus. He even sacrificed a pig on the altar. It was forever after referred to as the “abomination of desolation”. Continue reading

Something is Happening episode 1

Many are worried about the future and wondering what is coming next. Will it be another war, or hurricane, or earthquake, or maybe something worse? Secular news is full of such stories and warnings. But few ever seem to look at what the One who controls it all has to say – God!

7-signs-of-christs-returnAs Jesus was preparing His disciples for the end of the age, this is what He taught –

“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. “All these are the beginning of sorrows. (birth pangs)” – Matthew 24:4-8

Jesus never sugar-coated the truth. Yes, there would be many troubles coming and like birth pangs, they would grow more painful and frequent the closer we come to the delivery. He also warned, these would just be the beginning signs – more is to come. So, where are we now in time? Continue reading

Deliverance

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me to preach good tidings to the poor: … To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” – Isaiah 61:1, 2

This is the message Jesus began His ministry with, a ministry He passed on to His Church – those who believe in Him and put their trust in Him. It is not a message of “greasy-grace” or “sloppy-agape” as some would teach. God has not changed, nor have His standards changed. God still hates sin because it separates us from Him. What this message does do is present all of us with a way to escape the consequences of sin. The Bible declares –

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

Free at Last

Mankind’s old nature is corrupt and cannot change so God made a way for us to be “born again”, to become a new creation through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. The consequences of sin is death so Jesus stood in for us – though He was sinless, He was willing to die in our place on the cross of Calvary. If we are willing to repent of our sin and acknowledge Jesus as our substitute, His Holy Spirit will do a re-creation in us, then the Spirit will begin to work in us to help our “new man” grow strong enough to overcome the old nature and follow Jesus in a new life. Though this will be a life-long work, as we daily choose to follow the Spirit’s leading, we will begin to look and act like Jesus. Continue reading

Days of Noah

Noah's dayAs Jesus was giving His teaching on the end of the age, He gave a clear societal sign that would be a harbinger of the soon approach of these days. It was the sign of Noah –

“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, “and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” – Matthew 24:37-39

Maybe you remember, Noah was the man who lived during the days of the Biblical flood that destroyed the then-known world except for Noah and his family. Jesus’ warning involved eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage but, you may ask what is so bad about eating or drinking and isn’t marriage the way we continue the human race? To understand this phrase you have to read between the lines – so to speak. Continue reading

Strategies for the End

matt 24In Matthew 24, Jesus delivered to his disciples his basic teaching on the end of the age.  It involved wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom, famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in many different places.

He warned them that believers would be hated for His name’s sake, betrayed even by family and other so-called Christians. Because iniquity (lawlessness) would abound the love of many shall grow cold. Into this atmosphere the Antichrist will be able to set up his systems of control and abomination. Continue reading

The Only Choice for President

Jesus gave very sound advice about living which many in our country seem to have forweb pictures 057gotten.

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” – Matthew 16:26

As Americans are caught up in the election circus it would do us all good to remember this advice, especially in a selecting a leader that will control much of our everyday lives.

The Republican front runner freely admits he is willing to stoop to any level to gain a buck – ‘playing the system’ he calls it. He screams about the ‘rigged’ political system when he loses but is perfectly comfortable with a Continue reading

The Seven Churches-Sardis

menora“These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive; but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
