Most people are at least curious about the end of the age and wonder when and how it will happen? Many wise men through the ages have tried to answer this riddle. The Holy Bible is full of prophets inspired by God to give clues to the answer to this question but, the greatest prophet in the Bible gives a clear answer to the question “what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?”. His name is Jesus, the Messiah.
He gave a complete outline to the events that would lead to the end on the Mount of Olives. That teaching is recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 which are like 3 cameras recording His teaching from 3 different views. The front view is given by Matthew 24 with Mark and Luke repeating much of Matthew but adding some different perspectives. Continue reading
I originally posted this article in February, 2015, a month before the 2015 Blood Red Moons occurred. Not much has changed on the political landscape, except the Democrat spin machine has grown even more divisive and bitter. I felt it was time to repost the article.
Woe to us! Another political election is nearing! As if we do not hear enough lies and disinformation from the news media already, now it is amplified by all the political maneuvering of Democrats and Republicans as they try to tell the most believable lies to the people to get their votes – lies which history proves they have little intention of keeping! “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:13-16
The salt Jesus is talking about is that preservative that fights corruption – the corruption of sin. And the light He is talking about is that God given exposure to the truth as God defines it. It alone can drive away darkness. Mystery Babylon cannot stand either. Her spirit thrives in darkness and she is full of corruption. If we would follow Jesus we must be salt and light in our time. One thing about salt – you always know it is there! There is no hiding it. And light always exposes darkness for what it is. Continue reading
Mystery Babylon, as John called her in Revelation 17:5, has appeared many times throughout history but her final portrait is revealed to John as a harlot, decked in the royal colors of the priesthood, with scarlet and purple robbing as described by Peter (1 Peter 2:9). But, she is false and riding upon the Beast which represents the spirit of Antichrist. While she talks religion, she ‘fornicates’ with the world. Her actions, both past and present, reveal her true nature to those with eyes to see. She is a persecutor of all who love the truth of God’s word and cannot be deceived by her. Continue reading
While many Christians are failing their main mission in the world – uplifting the glory of God and telling the world the good news of the Gospel – the devil is fast at work trying to defeat God’s plan. Instead of converting the world, Christians are compromising the with the world. They have forgotten to uplift the glory of God by obeying His commands, one of the first of which God ever gave to mankind – Continue reading
As one calamity after another strikes the U.S. whether they be natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, or drought, or attacks by terrorists and financial downturns, the nightly news seems to be dominated by bad news. We can no longer claim it is just the result of better news coverage as those who keep statistics have now shown that natural disasters of every sort are definitely on the increase. What is the answer? Continue reading
We are inundated with Halloween in the stores, in schools, and in the news media. It is the 2nd largest commercial holiday. And, it is a sign of the Christian Church’s apostasy. Since Halloween is a Druid celebration, it is not directly mentioned in the Bible, but its concepts are certainly mentioned and warned against. Bibleinfo.com has this say about the holiday –
“The origin of Halloween as we know it, began over 1900 years ago in England, Ireland, and Northern France. It was a Celtic celebration of the new year, called Samhain which occurred on November 1. The Celtic druids revered it as the biggest holiday of the year and emphasized that day as the time when the souls of the dead supposedly could mingle with the living. Bonfires were a large aspect of this holiday as well. Continue reading
Paul warned of a great ‘falling away’ to happen just before the Antichrist appears. He is speaking of those who proclaim to be Christian but, by their lifestyles they are resisting the work of Jesus. They are doing the Devil’s work instead of the work of God even though they may claim to be Christian. They are the children of the Great Whore of Babylon who is clothed in the royal colors and garments of the Church but is really riding the Beast of Revelation.
Of such are all the churches that are claiming a ‘replacement theology’ which denies God’s stated promises to restore Israel. God clearly states –
“Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;” – Ezek. 37:21 and
“Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’“ – Jer. 31″10
I introduce this 2nd part of Revelation 13 by reminding you of the letter Jesus dictated to the Church of Thyatira –
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” – Revelation 13:4
In this second addition of Hanukkah I want to look at the prophetic significance of this feast. First, let’s recall a little history covered in the first addition of The Revelation of Hanukkah.
Around 200 B.C., Judea—also known as the Land of Israel—came under the control of Antiochus III, the Seleucid king of Syria, who allowed the Jews who lived there to continue practicing their religion. However, his son, Antiochus IV Epiphanes, proved less benevolent: Ancient sources recount that he outlawed the Jewish religion and ordered the Jews to worship Greek gods. In 168 B.C., his soldiers descended upon Jerusalem, massacring thousands of people and desecrating the city’s holy Second Temple by erecting an altar to Zeus and sacrificing pigs within its sacred walls. (This act is referred to by Daniel and Jesus as the Abomination of desolation). The acts done by Antiochus are a partial fulfillment of Daniel’s prophesies. Continue reading
