In Luke 21 Jesus predicts our times –
“When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately.” Then He continued by saying to them, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” – Luke 21:9-11
There have always been wars and rumors of wars, in fact the earth has seen very few Continue reading
The world today is in turmoil and confusion. The winds of war are sweeping the Middle East; violence and plagues of locusts are sweeping Africa; the winds of financial ruin are sweeping Europe; the winds of tolerance and political correctness are sweeping America, England, and Australia; and the little tornadoes of greed, sexual immorality, religious heresy, and pride randomly reap their havoc wherever they will. One thing is certain, there is no peace. Politicians promise hope and change but they are incapable of producing it and their plans only produce more havoc and slavery to the people they represent. Most people are at least curious about the end of the age and wonder when and how it will happen? Many wise men through the ages have tried to answer this riddle. The Holy Bible is full of prophets inspired by God to give clues to the answer to this question but, the greatest prophet in the Bible gives a clear answer to the question “what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?”. His name is Jesus, the Messiah.
He gave a complete outline to the events that would lead to the end on the Mount of Olives. That teaching is recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 which are like 3 cameras recording His teaching from 3 different views. The front view is given by Matthew 24 with Mark and Luke repeating much of Matthew but adding some different perspectives. Continue reading
A very important Christian event is happening soon on April 9th, and I’m not referring to Easter. April 9th will be Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew. Passover is the first Feast of the Lord (Remember there are 7) in the Biblical year and was marked in 2014-2015 by a Blood Red Moon Tetrad. As I wrote in 2015 Blood Red Moons, “Heavenly signs are God’s warnings of things to come and 2014 began a series of 4 blood red moons that occur on Biblical Feast days.” The two BRM’s of 2014 did indeed set the stage for increased trouble both for Israel and the world! I wrote this article in 2016 but I felt it was time to repost it. Many events have happened since then such as the fulfillment of the Revelation 12 sign of Virgo, the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the eternal Capital of Israel, Israel’s recognition of President Trump as the 2nd. Cyrus, to name a few. Also, as the Church has further embraced the morals of the world it has become dull of hearing.
As turmoil and confusion sweeps through the nations of the world, it would be wise to consider that God Almighty has a plan for the nations and the peoples. It was in place from the Creation and it is working even now. No nation or people group is left out. God has not hidden His plan; it is written in the heavens and proclaimed by His prophets down through the centuries. In our time, it is beginning to be fulfilled. We would be wise to consider and accept it. Continue reading
As Jesus predicted the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem His disciples asked Him –
“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” – Matt, 24:3
Man has always wanted to know about the end of all things. It seems mankind is created with an inner knowledge that what has a beginning also has an end, that this life on earth is not the whole story. Indeed God seems to have built this question even into the creation. On the fourth day, as He created the stars and heavenly bodies, He stated –
“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;” – Gen. 1:14 Continue reading
God has provided many signs to alert us to the times we are living in and not the least of these alerts are seven yearly feasts known as the Feasts of the Lord. They outline the plan of salvation and they also act as a prophetic calendar which are a rehearsal of God’s end time plan. It consists of 12 thirty-day months and every 13 years a 13th month is added. But this calendar is just the framework for seven yearly appointed times when God makes a special effort to meet with His people, those who have covenanted with Him. These appointed times are called The Feasts of the Lord. Four of them occur in the Spring of the year: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Weeks (Pentecost). The last three occur in the Fall, in fact in the seventh month of the year; Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles. These seven feasts remind God’s people of the most important aspects of our covenant with Him – Continue reading
