Our True Foundation

Our nation was not founded to be a Christian nation but, it was founded upon Christian principles. Our founding fathers were all believers in God and for the most part in the Bible as His word to mankind. Here are quotes from the first three of our Presidents –

“While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.”

Psalm 83 – Is It about to Happen?

26 signs headerIn 2014 I wrote a 4 part series of articles titled 26 Signs on the Lord’s Soon Return. It isn’t that these signs have not happened throughout history but, that they all are happening together right now, and in ever increasing frequency. This is the warning Jesus gave, that they would be like birth pangs getting closer together and more intense until the time of the delivery.

“All these are the beginning of sorrows (lit. birth pangs)” – Matt. 24:8

If you haven’t read this series, I urge you to do so. But, there is another topic I want to concentrate on in this article – it is Psalm 83. This psalm was written by Asaph who besides being King David’s worship leader was also a prophet. Many believe Psalm 83 is a prophecy of a war that has not yet happened and I have written about it before. But, whether that is true or not, Psalm 83 certainly describes events happening right now and it may well lead into the war of Ezekiel 38, 39 . Continue reading →

Middle East Current Prophecy

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” – Zech. 12:2,3

The middle east is a constant source of tension in today’s world. While the threat of North Korea is worrying many today, few realize that it also is connected to the middle east through Iran. It is in Iran’s interest to have North Korea threaten the United States. When our attention is focused on North Korea, Iran is free to move towards its domination of the middle east. Also, I do not doubt that Iran supplies North Korea with finances, etc. while it gets nuclear technology from them. All the millions of dollars Obama gave to Iran not only finances terrorism but, it also bolsters North Korea which has become a major threat to us.

I believe J.D. Farag, a prophecy teacher, was correct to remind Americans that Iran calls America ‘the Great Satan’ and Israel ‘the Lesser Satan’. Islamic groups like CAIR  are working tirelessly to weaken and bring down a Christian America. That is why it is so damaging to have Speaker Paul Ryan block Amendments that would stop funding Hamas, a law sponsored by CAIR and voted in under Obama. Iran is systematically trying to remove any American influence in the middle east and any who are friends with America.

saudiiranapril282016Saudi Arabia is under attack by Iran and has even been attacked by its proxies which may well set off a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia charged Monday that Iran had committed “a blatant act of military aggression” by providing its Yemeni allies with a missile fired at the Saudi capital over the weekend, raising the threat of a direct military clash between the two regional heavyweights.  The accusations represent a new peak in tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran at a time when they are already fighting proxy wars in Yemen and Syria, as well as battles for political power in Iraq and Lebanon. – Prophecy News Watch

 

psalm 83 warThe Zechariah scriptures I began this article with are explained more fully by prophecy teacher Bill Salis and author of the book Psalm 83 War. In a recent interview, he explained what he sees as the upcoming fulfillment of Zechariah 12 – it is worth watching.

The admonishment of Jesus and many of the Apostles is to watch and pray. I offer these thoughts on prophecy with that warning as well – watch and pray. Some may wonder why I included statements from J.D. Farag, when in my last article I included him among the false teachers? I do not count him as a false teacher, just a mistaken one on the point of repentance. There are no perfect teachers, correct on every point, myself included. Just those sincerely trying to obey the Holy Spirit and to be faithful to teach what we understand. So, we must trust the body of Christ and other teachers to point out mistakes and errors. It is why we are urged by John –

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” – 1 John 4:1
