Facing Eternity

This has been a time of great loss for me as my dear wife of 60 years went to be with the Lord three months ago and one of my four sons left this earth for his heavenly home this last Passover, three days ago on the Feast of the First-fruits. My son, Israel, was my sounding board as we shared many questions and ideas about the second coming of the Lord and these end days that we live in. What David wrote in Psalm 127 has become even more precious to me.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.” – Ps. 127:3-5 Continue reading

The Importance of Family

In 2016 I wrote an article named Return to the Family in which I highlighted the importance of family. At that time we were in the throws of a Presidential election and the news media was going wild with speculations and propaganda. Even though the election was won by Donald Trump, it seems as if the battle for our mind is continuing by the so-called news media. In that article I wrote –

“As the upcoming Presidential election draws near, many voices are flooding the airways proclaiming their perceived answers to our problems, each trying to drown out the other. The noise is so disharmonious as to cause a normal person to click the off switch, especially when one understands they are speaking lies and half-truths for the most part and that most of the “news media” does not disseminate news at all, but just the propaganda they have sold out to!”

The Battle for our Children

1585350762-j__adamsI taught Science and Math in public schools for 33 years and I witnessed first hand the downward trend of education from having a Christian base to one of humanistic atheistic base. In fact, this move has been augmented by a growing hostility by government to Christianity. Government directed this educational movement by using the tried and true ‘carrot and stick’ method. They gave stipends to schools who would follow their lead and withheld it from those who would not. Their premier item was the unproven doctrine of evolution, which directly opposes Christianity. Over several generations this move has progressed, largely behind the scenes until now, most parents would be shocked to find out how little parental control they have over their children’ lives. Sex education classes, including homosexual and lesbian lifestyles, are now pushed in most schools and many of them forbid parents opting their children out of them.

Yet the Bible proclaims children are the primary responsibility of the parents.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.” – Ps. 127:3-5

“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,” – Deut. 4″9

You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” – Deut. 11:19

The family is under attack because the devil knows the family is the foundation of all society. And what better way for him to destroy the family than to take over the children’s education? He can then prevail in just a few generations. Church Sunday schools are a vain attempt to counter this move, it is vain to believe 1/2 to 1 hour a week can match the 35 hours a week that the public schools have your children. Heavy parental involvement may serve to lessen the effect but, that is not the prevailing attitude.

I believe every Christian parent should watch this video trailer about how the public school system has been used to destroy Christianity.

Syndicated columnist, Cal Thomas writes –

“Every Christian parent with a child in a government school should see this… A mass exodus from government schools is the only way to preserve the souls and minds of our children, whether it gets the attention of politicians or not…and it would.” — Cal Thomas, syndicated columnist and Fox News political contributor

Our founding fathers understood this principle well and insured that education was founded on the Bible and it’s precepts.

noah-webster-quote“In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed … No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.” – Preface by Noah Webster in his 1828 Dictionary.

Our colleges and universities were originally founded to promote this principle as well, as the Harvard Rules and Precepts states –

“The main end of the scholar’s life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ which is eternal life. Therefore, to lay Christ in the bottom is the only foundation of all sound knowledge and harmony.” – Harvard Rules and Precepts, 1638

The 2018 election of so many Democrat socialists highlight the effect of several generations of government school indoctrination of our children by those pushing socialism and communism and Islam. It should serve as a wake up call to all Christians to stand and fight for their children before it is too late.

The Prophetic Nature of Christmas (2)

In 2016, I wrote a post called The Prophetic Nature of Christmas in which I highlighted the war being waged against parents and their children. It is such an important message that I re-post it here.

As we are just a few days from Christmas it would be good to reflect where we are in God’s plan for mankind. We know the Hebrew people had the promise of Messiah’s coming long before He actually came and when He really did come, many in Israel missed it because they were looking for a warrior King who would re-establish the kingdom of David. They forgot that God loved all people, all His creation, as much as He did His people Israel. God foreknew most of Israel would reject their Messiah and so the door would be open for all people to come into the Kingdom of God through the Grace that was won by Jesus on the cross. Uplifting the Glory of God (2nd ed.)

starry-skyWhile many Christians are failing their main mission in the world – uplifting the glory of God and telling the world the good news of the Gospel – the devil is fast at work trying to defeat God’s plan. Instead of converting the world, Christians are compromising the with the world. They have forgotten to uplift the glory of God by obeying His commands, one of the first of which God ever gave to mankind – Continue reading

The Forgotten Sign of the Times.

left wing agenda“A Psalm of David.

To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me. Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.” – Ps. 25:1-4

Remember the story of Lot in Sodom? God was about to judge Sodom because of their wickedness, which went much further than just sodomy. But, as Abraham interceded with God, it was determined that if God could find even 10 righteous people there, He would not judge it. Now most know the result of those negotiations but, I want to draw your attention to another aspect of the story and that is the value of righteous people.  Sodom could have been saved if just 10 righteous people could have been found! The Latter Rain in a Time of Deception

day of elijahI wrote in a previous article titled 2018 Days of Elijah that humanism is the deception of our generation. Humanism places man in the seat of God as the chief arbitrator of what is good and what is bad. “A typical deception of humanistic thinking is the belief that you can compartmentalize your life into separate boxes, such as political, financial, social, or religious. And that truth is somehow different for each box. That is partly why seemingly moral people can vote for politicians who represent philosophies they personally find abhorrent. The Democrat Party caters to those who disrespect the American flag and all it stands for except – the welfare benefits it gives. And they want immigration laws that allow more like-minded people into the country. Yet, I know many Democrats who Continue reading

Blessing or Curse – the Choice is Ours

AbortionThis is one prophecy many do not like to think about. It exposes the root cause of almost all our problems as people and as a nation. It is the leading cause of the overwhelming majority of death in our country. Yet most are not willing to acknowledge it. What is this great evil that is exposed by this prophecy?

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” – Mal. 4:5,6

Christmas – the true Hope and Change

manger sceneAs we approach this Christmas season, it is good to remember the hope contained in it. Many false voices have cried “hope and change” but, there is only One who can truly bring hope and change. He is the One we celebrate this Christmas. Our Father in heaven sent Him to us as a gift and he came as a little baby, like we all do. Yet embodied in Him was the hope of the world.

All those who have children will understand the wonderment, joy, and love Mary and Joseph must have felt as they looked at that little face so at peace, even in a stable, yet, they must have also felt the pain of knowing what His purpose was and the things He would suffer for us all.
