The End is at Hand

The Seventh Angel

In the Book of Revelation, John sees the seven angels who are about to sound their trumpets beginning the end of man’s reign on earth.

Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” – Rev. 11:15

This is one of the main themes of the Book of Revelation and the thing Satan hates most, the end of his rule on earth – the end of his Antichrist and False Prophet’s rule and the end of all false philosophies. It also means the end of the spirit of Antichrist’s influence on the earth. Continue reading

Behold, the Darkness and the Light

As I look at the landscape that surrounds me, both political and religious, all I see is darkness, deep darkness. It is as Isaiah prophesied so long ago –

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” – Isa. 60:1-3 Continue reading

The Great Falling Away

The saints in the Thessalonian Church were worried that the Day of Christ had happened and they had been left behind which prompted Paul to write this word of correction to them –

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,” – 2 Thes. 2:3

What is this ‘falling away’ Paul is talking about? It is certainly not talking about the people of the world for they have never found Christ from which to fall away. Rather, it is talking about those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ, leaders in the Christian Church, who once knew Jesus, falling away from the truth Jesus proclaimed. This falling away happens at the end of this age just before the Antichrist is revealed, or along with his revealing. Continue reading

To the Seven Churches-Thyatira

harlot48“These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:

I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.

Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. Continue reading

Judgment Begins with Christians

The Church Under Attack (Steve Sutherland/Flickr/Creative Commons)

The Church of Jesus Christ is under attack worldwide. In the Middle East and Africa it is under violent attack from Islam but, in the west it is also under attack from such lies as humanism, atheism, false prophets and teachers, and yes, from political correctness. The devil, knowing his time is short, has pulled out all stops in his attacks. If he is unsuccessful in attacking from the outside, he attacks from the inside with sexual perversion, the pride of kingdom building and ‘bigness’, and even the philosophy of trying to be all things to all people. Biblical standards are expendable and take a back seat to a ‘feel good’ gospel.

Jesus would not be welcome in most churches today with His message of “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” He warned about the end times – Continue reading
