Put on the Armor of God

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:” – 2 Timothy 3:1

This was Paul’s warning to Timothy. He followed it by a lengthy explanation of the problems that would come and how to counteract them. He then told Timothy that if he would follow Paul’s warning, he would be equipped for victory:

“that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:17 Continue reading

The Antichrist (reposted)

The Bible is full of promises about the second coming of Jesus Christ to establish the kingdom of God on earth and to rescue and redeem those who are faithful to Him –

“who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”– Acts 1:11

And it also has much to say about the Devil’s final rebellion and attempt to preempt God’s plan. It was revealed to Daniel the prophet that the final Gentile empire would be Rome and at the end of the age it would morph into a ten-kingdom confederacy, out of which

would rise a character patterned after the Devil’s idea of a model leader, the Antichrist. Continue reading

Resist the Devil and he will flee

There is much talk about the ‘invasion’ taking place on our southern border but not much talk about the Islamic invasion taking place in our country. Immigration is a fine thing but, it must be controlled and the immigrants must assimilate into our culture, not the other way around. Muslims do not intend to assimilate to American values, they intend to overcome them with population and change them to Islamic values. I read one article where an Islamic woman threatened to leave the country unless halal food was served, to which I thought – ‘There’s the door!’. The following video shows Muslims demanding Islamic holidays being observed by a school board.

Will the Lord find faith when He comes?

Jeremiah

The Prophets wept for Israel

“Woe is me!
For I am like those who gather summer fruits,
Like those who glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires. The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net. That they may successfully do evil with both hands— The prince asks for gifts, the judge seeks a bribe, and the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.” – Micah 7:1-3

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water. ….. A voice was heard on the desolate heights, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel. For they have perverted their way; They have forgotten the LORD their God. “Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.

Indeed we do come to You, for You are the LORD our God. Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains; Truly, in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.” – Jeremiah 2:13, 3:21-23

At the risk of being called too negative, I share this message. I believe the prophets Micah and Jeremiah, though they spoke hundreds of years ago to Israel, are speaking through the Holy Spirit to our generation as well. At a time of harvest, Micah laments that the Lord can find little fruit and he plainly identifies the reason; faithful men are being quieted and wickedness is being exalted. Leaders, who should do righteousness, sell their influence to those who pay the most (or for the sake of votes), judges forsake justice (which is always based on God’s will) ruling instead out of their own rebellion and corruption. There are many examples I could site but I will use just one – Canadian leader Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government forces employers to endorse abortion and LGTB agenda in order to receive governments grants or contracts. Similar actions have taken place in the England and the U.S. as well as those who stand for Biblical truth are being censored and ridiculed.

persecutionaug162016“215 million Christians experience high levels of persecution” around the world, according to Open Doors, a human rights organization. On its recently released World Watch List 2018, which ranks the world’s 50 worst nations wherein to be Christian, 3,066 Christians were killed, 1,252 abducted, and 1,020 raped or sexually harassed on account of their faith; and 793 churches were attacked or destroyed.  The Islamic world had the lion’s share of this persecution; 38 of the 50 worst nations are Muslim-majority. The report further cites “Islamic oppression” behind the “extreme persecution” that prevails in eight of the 10 worst nations.
So, what do we find in the western world, including the United States? Politicians, corporations, and the Courts bending over backwards to promote and protect Islam and abominations like abortion and LBGT lifestyles! The state of California is even teaching Islamic religion in their public schools!
I am writing these words to those who believe the Bible is the Word of God because they are the only ones who can change these things through the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit, which they alone have. The lukewarm Christians will not and the wicked cannot reach a righteous God with prayer, as they have no light to shine on the situation. They have already kneeled to the spirit of Antichrist and God has given them a spirit of delusion so they cannot see the truth as Paul writes –
“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. – 2 Thes. 2:11,12

It is time for the righteous to take up their weapons and join the battle and remember what James wrote, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” This does not mean that we are perfect but, that the Lord has given His righteousness to us and we follow Him.

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lordthe righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” – 2 Tim. 4:8

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” – 2 Cor. 5:21

The Prophetic Nature of Christmas

As we are just a few days from Christmas it would be good to reflect where we are in God’s plan for mankind. We know the Hebrew people had the promise of Messiah’s coming long before He actually came and when He really did come, many in Israel missed it because they were looking for a warrior King who would re-establish the kingdom of David. They forgot that God loved all people, all His creation, as much as He did His people Israel. God foreknew most of Israel would reject their Messiah and so the door would be open for all people to come into the Kingdom of God through the Grace that was won by Jesus on the cross. War is upon us!

war with gog Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of war but, that these would just be the beginning of the birth pangs that would mark the end of the age.

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. … “All these are the beginning of sorrows (lit. birth pangs).” – Matthew 24:6-8

Judgment on the House of God

flood verseGod is speaking in many ways, to His people and to the world. In a recent article named WARNING, I highlighted a few of the ways God is speaking. He is warning of coming judgment and I reminded you that judgment begins at the House of God.

“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” – 1 Peter 4:17
