I have been considering what God is saying to America during these times of assault by the spirit of Lawlessness that Paul speaks about (2 Thes. 2:9) and those who follow it. The Corona virus was the weapon they used to shut us down but, their plans are much more far-reaching. They want the world. And they have a multitude of followers who are willing to sell out their country, their families, their friends, and even themselves, for a piece of the pie. The list of these Benedict Arnolds is too long to publish here; it includes Governments, Courts, News Media, Educational Institutions, and Corporations. Most don’t even realize what they are doing because they have lost their ‘love of the truth’ – God’s Word, which would be able to save them. I see two streams moving in mankind: one of this ‘spirit of lawlessness’ and another by the Holy Spirit of God. And I believe the moving of the Holy Spirit can best be seen right now in the nation of China, the nation that hates Christianity the most and does its best to shut down the move of the Holy Spirit – but it is failing!! Consider this video by Wayne Cordeiro as he tells of his visit to China –

It is reported that in China upwards of 72,00 Chinese become Christians every day! It reminds me of a parable that Jesus told about the Mustard Seed –

Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.” – Mark 4:30-32

This seed represents the Word of God and all it needs is for someone to sow it.

Most people, even Christians, don’t realize just how powerful the Word of God is. It contains life within itself and when planted in the earth it cannot help but grow! When God created the  earth in Genesis –

“Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.” – Gen. 1:11, 12

God formed the land and it’s purpose was to respond to the Word of God and produce! Now in this parable the seed is the Word of God and the land is the people of earth, who were formed out of the dust of the earth. They have a spirit and a soul in them that have the capability to produce what is planted. If they receive the lies of the lawless one, they produce that which is evil but, if they receive the Word of God, they grow a good tree that produces good fruit! Oh, how wonderful and powerful is the Word of God!

King David declared, “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.” And the Apostle Paul wrote, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Do you want more faith in your life? – Study the Word of God! And you will begin hearing the Word. Paul also wrote –

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” – Eph. 5:25-27

God is looking for a Bride for His Son, Jesus Christ and the water He washes her with is the Word of God. It will make her into a Bride clothed with the Glory of God and clean.

Many have settled for crumbs from the table of the Lawless One’s Table when they were made for much more. Your life is no accident and you came to this earth with a heavenly purpose, as King David declares –

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. . . . My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed (from birth). And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” – Psalm 139:13-17

God has a Book in heaven with your name on it. It contains His purpose for you on the earth and your times. That Book will be opened at the Great Judgment described in Revelations and you will be judged by how you fulfilled what is written – how we fulfill what God promised for us.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” – Rev. 20:12

Paul writes about this to the Ephesians –

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” – Eph. 2:10

God has a book with your name on it and written in it are the ‘Good Works’ that God has planned for you to do. These are not man-made works but, God-made works that the seed of the Word will produce for you when you plant it according to the Holy Spirit’s leading. They may include preaching to thousands or they may include giving a glass of water to a thirsty soul or a smile of encouragement to a soul in depression’s grip. God is the One who has planned them from the beginning and it is His Holy Spirit who will lead you if you hear Him. And remember! “Hearing comes by the Word of God!”

Be encouraged, the Lawless One cannot win and the stream of God’s Holy Spirit is already moving, performing miracles and giving life to the dead!
