As I look at the landscape that surrounds me, both political and religious, all I see is darkness, deep darkness. It is as Isaiah prophesied so long ago –
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” – Isa. 60:1-3 Continue reading
I can’t get away from believing that 2018 is a pivotal year for all the world but, especially for America and Israel. In America it is obvious that many have drifted away from the Biblical view we once had as a nation. Our belief in the value of every human life has been eroded by the doctrines of convenience. An entire political party has fallen prey to these anti-American values and while I could pick many of these lost values to highlight, I will stress only one – abortion, which is the willful destruction of a life deemed unworthy to live. The Democrat party showed its true colors at its 2016 National Convention held in Philadelphia where they proudly proclaimed themselves as the Abortion Party! And there are many in other political parties that would also agree with Continue reading
A typical deception of humanistic thinking is the belief that you can compartmentalize your life into separate boxes, such as political, financial, social, or religious. And that truth is somehow different for each box. That is partly why seemingly moral people can vote for politicians who represent philosophies they personally find abhorrent. The Democrat Party caters to those who disrespect the American flag and all it stands for except – the welfare benefits it gives. And they want immigration laws that allow more such people in the country. Yet, I know many Democrats who served in the military and fought for and respect this same flag. Continue reading
As you vote – think of this!
I have been asked “Who do I vote for?” and my answer is – “Vote for whom God tells you to.” But, it is imperative that you do vote! I know that from a Christian perspective neither candidate’s personal life is very appealing but, I want you to know that these candidates also represent political parties and Platforms as well as their own agendas.
Let me remind you what the main parties stand for –
I also remind you that current liberal Justices have consistently backed policies that are anti-Christian and anti-Constitution and that a Democrat Administration will likely appoint like-minded Justices. Franklin Graham who has been leading a nation-wide 40 day prayer recently also urged Christians to vote. To see what he had to say click the link below –
Then there is the issue of ‘national security’. I know political pundits all mimic the mantra “It’s the economy dummy!” but, I remind you if the country falls to terrorism or outside hostile forces – the “economy” won’t matter that much! Democrats have not a good record on national security and the present Democrat Administration has made ‘back-door’ deals with avowed enemy states that support terrorism such as Iran. They have even welcomed known terrorist supporters into the Administration and other government intelligence groups. One terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood, has been welcomed by Obama and Hillary Clinton into sensitive positions. CBN’s Stakelback reported in the following link –
Also, it is possible that if you vote for one of the third party candidates you will just weaken the Republican or Democrat candidate that did have a chance to win.
However, if you believe neither main-line Party is worth electing because they seldom actually do what they promise, maybe it is time to take a stand and vote for someone you respect, that has Godly principles, and be willing to build for the future because you likely will not win this time around.
No one can tell who to vote for but remember, you will answer to God for your choice and your answer will be judged by His standards – not the Democrat’s or the Republican’s.
We are often called a nation of immigrants, because our people have come from so many nations of the world but, we have forgotten a very important truth about our founding. While there were many who tried to colonize this land; Vikings, Spanish, Knights Templar, Aztecs, only one group was favored by God to complete the task – Pilgrims and Puritans! Why? Because they came seeking God and to do His will on earth. They may not have been perfect – no men are – but God chose them to found this great nation. Some 200 years after they began, the United States of America was finally founded and its leaders elected by the people. The first official act of the new President and Congress was to thank God and dedicate this new country to His purposes. We were not founded on Buddhist, Islamic, Occult, or Atheist principles but on Christian principles found in the Holy Bible. In this act of dedication, George Washington also warned – Continue reading
