To the Seven Churches-Pergamum

asclepius“And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” – Revelation 2:12-17 Continue reading

Prepare for Battle

Satan warring against saintsFinally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. – Ephesians 6:10-13

This is a message to the Church of Jesus Christ – prepare for battle! Continue reading

The Lesson of Baltimore

I’m going to write this blog to black families in America. I choose black families because of the recent riots in Baltimore but, this message could and does apply to families of every ethnic background. Riots like we have seen in Baltimore are not the result of poverty, lack of education, or even lack of opportunity to succeed. There are many black people who have overcome these to become successful. These riots are the result of family breakdown! The fathers have forsaken their obligations to be the head of the family – in fact they are more often than not AWOL! Leaving the mother to raise her children and the children to be raised by whoever happens to be available. To the fathers, God commands –

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. – Ephesians 6:4

Baltimore-riots 5What we all witnessed in Baltimore was ‘children of wrath’ running wild. But their fathers and mothers were doing it first – having sex out of wedlock or without the commitment to stick it out and raise the children they produced! When Jesus issued His condemnation of the church in Pergamos, He said – Continue reading

Judgment Begins with Christians

The Church Under Attack (Steve Sutherland/Flickr/Creative Commons)

The Church of Jesus Christ is under attack worldwide. In the Middle East and Africa it is under violent attack from Islam but, in the west it is also under attack from such lies as humanism, atheism, false prophets and teachers, and yes, from political correctness. The devil, knowing his time is short, has pulled out all stops in his attacks. If he is unsuccessful in attacking from the outside, he attacks from the inside with sexual perversion, the pride of kingdom building and ‘bigness’, and even the philosophy of trying to be all things to all people. Biblical standards are expendable and take a back seat to a ‘feel good’ gospel.

Jesus would not be welcome in most churches today with His message of “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” He warned about the end times – Continue reading

Why Passover?

Passover BRM on April 4, 2015

A very important Christian event is happening soon on April 4th, and I’m not referring to Easter. April 4th will be Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew. Passover is the first Feast of the Lord (Remember there are 7) in the Biblical year and  is marked this year by a Blood Red Moon. As I wrote in 2015 Blood Red Moons, “Heavenly signs are God’s warnings of things to come and 2014 began a series of 4 blood red moons that occur on Biblical Feast days.” The two BRM’s of 2014 did indeed set the stage for increased trouble both for Israel and the world!  Continue reading
