This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, which actually occurs May 29-30th this year. But, what is so special about Pentecost? Last year I posted about it and I will include some of it here.
God has provided many signs to alert us to the times we are living in and not the least of these alerts are seven yearly feasts known as the Feasts of the Lord. God is the Creator. He set things in motion in the beginning but, what has a beginning also has an end. Every birth also has a death assigned to it and so it is with man’s time on earth. The Hebrew prophet Hosea predicted this –
“Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.” – Hosea 6:1-3
