The United States is locked in political combat, mostly between Democrats and Republicans. Even though only a relatively small number of Americans are actively involved in the infighting, all will bear the consequences of the battle. It is somewhat like a mini-Civil War dividing even families. For the most part, the muskets and cannons are missing, but damage is still being done.
