What this world needs right now is a visitation by the Holy Spirit. But, the Holy Spirit will not come to a church that is not earnestly seeking Him. Most of the churches are laboring under the condemnations spoken of in Revelations 2 and 3 and innumerated in Christ’s letters to the Churches: some have left their first love and have become caught up in legalism, some have fallen to the doctrine of Balaam and have allowed the teachings of the world into their midst, some have given in to feminism and allowed women to be pastors thus allowing sexual immorality to infect their congregation, some have gone into the trap of commercialism to build their numbers and are known for their lively worship but, Jesus says, they are dead, some have settled into the routine of liturgies to cover their lukewarmness not knowing they stand naked before God. To all these churches Jesus says, “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.” 

Jesus loves His Church but, it is not ready to face the warfare that is coming upon it. The ‘lawless one’ is being released with all the power, signs, and lying wonders of Satan and the Church will not stand unless she is filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught that when the Holy Spirit came –

“And when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:” – John 16:8

Jesus said “Of sin, because they do not believe in Me.” Jesus was there in the beginning. He said “I am the Alpha and the Omega”, in other words, He is the beginning and He will be the end of the age. How many churches have given in to the false teaching of evolution among their ranks? Evolution denies the creation of God described in Genesis, thus it denies the fall to sin, and thus it denies the needs of a Savior. Thus it denies Jesus, the Christ! And churches that are OK with this teaching are denying their very reason to exist. Satan has the victory over them already! We must believe in Jesus and He said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me!”

Jesus said “of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more.” Righteous is required to enter heaven. You can’t live like the devil six days a week, then go to church on Sunday and expect that will get you entry into heaven! Righteous living is required, every day. Some churches are teaching that God’s blessings are yours no matter how you live. They are preaching how to live in this world with blessings. This is a false gospel. Jesus taught the Gospel of the Kingdom. In other words, He taught how to get ready for heaven, not this earth. We are all leaving this earth, some to heaven and some to hell. The true Gospel is preparing us for heaven.

Jesus said “of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” The ruler of this world is Satan and Jesus is going to destroy him and his surrogate, the Antichrist, at the last battle, the Battle of Armageddon. Meanwhile, Jesus has given to His Church the authority to bind him and his works on this earth. As we see riots, burning, and looting taking place in our cities, we, the Church, have the authority to bind them and cast them down. We have been given His ministry “to proclaim liberty to the captives, the recovery of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed,”

So then this the the scope of the ministry of the true Church; to preach against sin and to repent, to preach righteousness, and to preach judgment on Satan and his works and all associated with him and to set free those captured by him. And the ministry of every member in the body of Christ is to pray that these things happen, in ourselves and then in the church and then in the world!

Wake up Church, the enemy is at the gates!
