War is upon us!

war with gog Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of war but, that these would just be the beginning of the birth pangs that would mark the end of the age.

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. … “All these are the beginning of sorrows (lit. birth pangs).” – Matthew 24:6-8

The Coming War

The daily news is filled with acts of terrorism, acts of war, and threats of war in the Middle east.  Many wise men and politicians offer their plans for a solution but those I’ve heard fail to take into account what God has said about the situation. Nations today spend much time and effort developing their foreign policies to deal with such situations but few consider that God may also have a divine ‘foreign policy’.

Ps 83 title

God’s ‘foreign policy’ is described in Psalm 83 and the related Scriptures of Psalm 2 and Isaiah 11. God has a long memory, He is not only long-suffering towards man’s sin but, He also never forgets a promise made. With this truth in view, let’s look at God’s Foreign Policy – Continue reading

Is War with Gog Approaching?

In last years post named Revisiting Gog of Ezekiel I stated –

“Russia’s current move into Crimea, Yugoslavia, and other Baltic states could signal the setting for Ezekiel’s prophesy beginning. Russia’s threatening Denmark with nuclear retaliation, Iran’s threatening to wipe Israel off the map, ISIS’ threats against Jordan and Saudi Arabia are all setting the scene for Israel making a preemptive strike on Lebanon, Syria, and/or Iran. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt may even support such an Israeli attack.”

Mystery Babylon p7

As we consider this final Gentile kingdom seen by Daniel and John we need to remember who it is that is behind it – the Devil.

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” – Revelation 12:9

From the beginning he has opposed God and His plan of Continue reading

Political Correctness is the language of Babel

As I listen to all the news and proclamations concerning the Paris attack of the Islamic State, I am saddened by the lack of understanding exhibited by those speaking. Our President and his administration seem unwilling to even mention the name Islam in connection with the problem when ISIS or ISIL clearly state they are acting in obedience to the Koran and call themselves the true Islam. Hillary Clinton, the often acknowledged front-runner of the Democratic presidential race, even declared “We are not at war with ISIS!”. We are witnessing stupidity glorified by political correctness among our leaders.

The so-called peace loving adherents to Islam, who claim to be the majority, also are become suspiciously silent in publicly condemning those who are supposedly corrupting their religion. The facts are that Islam has always been a political-religious system that believes in ascendancy. The only times they have been “peaceful” are when they have subjugated everyone else in the neighborhood or they have been too weak to exert their goals of dominance. That includes those who are of a different denomination within Islam, such as Sunni or Shea. Even when they are at “peace” they denigrate all others under their control to a second-class subsistence. This is their historical record. Why can so many in the United States not understand what is so clearly evident?

I believe the prophet Jeremiah has the answer for us.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. – Jeremiah 2:13

America was founded upon Christian foundational principles, as all our founding Fathers and documents declare. We were Christian nation and our Common Law was based on Biblical principles. We allowed “strangers” in the land but we did not allow them to dictate our culture – there was no Sharia Law for example! But, we have forsaken our founding principles which were like living water to us and instead have hewed out new cisterns which are broken. They may be “politically correct” but they can hold no water!

If Americans do not return to their founding belief in God and trust in the saving grace of Jesus Christ, nothing else will deliver us from this present trouble. The Bible’s King David declares the answer to ISIS –

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. – Psalm 20:7

If we do not head this advice, we will experience more of what France recently did.

Don’t Worry about ISIS – Worry about God!

Israel under David_Solomon

Israel Under David and Solomon

Don’t worry about ISIS – worry about God!

“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. – Joel 3:1, 2

1922 UN Mandated Territory

As you can see by the map of Israel under David and Solomon, Israel extends to the Euphrates River in the North and through most of
Jordan in the East. Damascus is only about half way up the map that God promised to Abraham and that David and Solomon conquered. In 1922 the UN partitioned the land into a state for Israel and for the Arabs. That map is shown to the right – later in 1947, to appease the Arabs for their oil, the map was changed to a new UN Mandate, which was

never accepted by the Arabs – they went to war instead, a war which they lost! So, when President Obama calls for Israel returning to pre-1947 borders, they are basically giving the West Bank, Samaria, and Gaza back to the Israelis, though I doubt he understands that! So, we have three groups trying to solve the problem of Jerusalem and Israel: 1) the nations of the world who want peace so they can continue making money off the resources of the Mideast or gain acclaim for their ‘legacy’, 2) the Muslims who can never give back land once taken by Islam and want to destroy Israel and God’s claim to the land . and 3) God who calls it My land (Joel 3:2) and declares that He has set His name in Jerusalem (1 Kings 11:36). Now, I ask you – “Who do you think will win this argument! Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Continue reading

The Blood Moons and Psalm 83

4 BRM Tetrad“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. – Joel 2:30, 31

The prophet Isaiah also describes a similar event before the coming of the Lord: “The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine.” (Isaiah 13:10). Both of these events, the sun being darkened (solar eclipse) and the moon turning blood-red (lunar eclipse), are being displayed right now in the Blood Red Moons Tetrad of 2014 and 2015. The fact that the solar eclipses happen on Nisan 1, the beginning of God’s Biblical calendar, and Continue reading

Revisiting Gog of Ezekiel

Magog 1982 canceledRecent events in world politics have encouraged me to re-post previous articles on the Ezekiel 38/ 39 prophesy. Moves by radical Islamic forces in the Mid East are setting the stage for events described in the Psalm 83 wars which I believe will trigger the Gog/Magog war against Israel. Ezekiel begins his prophesy with the statement –

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth …“- Ezekiel 38:4f

and this suggests Gog is involved in other activities when he is forced to move into the Mid East. Many Bible scholars have identified Gog with Russia, even before Russia ever became a political power. If this is true, and I believe it is, Russia’s current move into Crimea, Yugoslavia, and other Baltic states could signal the setting for Ezekiel’s prophesy beginning. Russia’s threatening Denmark Continue reading

Jeremiah Speaks Yet Today

For a number of years I have wondered about the connection between Jeremiah 50 and 51 and the current events taking place in Iraq. Before beginning this teaching, I want to say that I understand the danger of trying to fit current events into Biblical prophesies and I want start with the understanding that this is not a “Thus saith the Lord” declaration but rather, a looking at remarkable similarities between prophetic Scriptures and current events.

Scripture states “that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” which means God may take a long time to fulfill His word but, He always fulfills it! So we begin with God’s pronounced judgment on Babylon –

“Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria. And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.” Jer. 50:18, 19
