The Wheat and the Tares

wheat-and-tares4In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells a parable about the kingdom of heaven using a story of wheat and tares.

“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. ‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ” – Mat. 13: 26-30

John Sees the End (Revelation 14,15

Daniels beastAfter John describes the Beast that rises out of the sea in Revelation 12, which is similar to Daniel’s dream given in Daniel chapter 7, and this Beast’s war against Israel and her flight into the wilderness in chapter 13, we are transported to the end of the age and events to happen then in chapter 14.

John sees again the 144,000 he describes in Revelation 7 and he gives us more information about them. Do the numbers 12 and 144,000 have any significance? Continue reading

The Everlasting Gospel

3 angels of woeIn Revelation 14 we see an angel warning the people of earth to not take the mark of the beast –

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, “he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” – Rev. 14:9-11

A second angel announced the fall of Babylon, the great city. But first came an angel proclaiming the everlasting gospel in the midst of heaven to those who dwell on earth – to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people – Continue reading

Mystery Babylon chapter 2

menora“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:13-16

The salt Jesus is talking about is that preservative that fights corruption – the corruption of sin. And the light He is talking about is that God given exposure to the truth as God defines it. It alone can drive away darkness. Mystery Babylon cannot stand either. Her spirit thrives in darkness and she is full of corruption. If we would follow Jesus we must be salt and light in our time. One thing about salt – you always know it is there! There is no hiding it. And light always exposes darkness for what it is. Continue reading

Mystery Babylon chapter 1

Harlot of Rev

Mystery Babylon, as John called her in Revelation 17:5, has appeared many times throughout history but her final portrait is revealed to John as a harlot, decked in the royal colors of the priesthood, with scarlet and purple robbing as described by Peter (1 Peter 2:9). But, she is false and riding upon the Beast which represents the spirit of Antichrist. While she talks religion, she ‘fornicates’ with the world. Her actions, both past and present, reveal her true nature to those with eyes to see. She is a persecutor of all who love the truth of God’s word and cannot be deceived by her. Continue reading

The Great Whore is Judged

Babylons judgment“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.” – Rev. 19:1-2

In Revelation chapter 19 we are given a preview of the judgment of Mystery Babylon, the false church, the Great Whore. There is great rejoicing in seen in heaven because this false religious system has persecuted true believers since the beginning of time, starting with Cain and Abel. Her deceptions have robbed many people of the blessings God had planned for them, blocking the way that leads to life but refusing to go in herself. Continue reading

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT

harlot48Chapters 17 and 18 introduce another actor in the endtime scenario that begins in chapter 12 and 13 – the Great Whore.

“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:” – Rev. 17:1-4 Continue reading

God’s Overview of the End

144000-4-638Revelation chapter 14 begins with the sealing of 144,000 servants of God who were virgins

“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.” – Rev. 14:4

Who are these? And what does it mean that they were virgins? Strong’s Concordance identifies them – “a man who has abstained from all uncleanness and whoredom attendant on idolatry, and so has kept his chastity” In other words, they are sold out to God and not distracted by any lusts of the flesh. I don’t believe it means they were effeminate or unmarried. They are like Peter, who was married, but wholly committed to follow Jesus. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They represent the ‘firstfruits’ of the Lord’s work on earth – Continue reading

Strange Fire

creationIn my last post Days of Noah, I warned about the danger of mixing God’s created design with the devil’s designs. When God finished His creation of heaven, earth, and everything in them – He said “it was good.” It needed no improvement. It was socially and genetically perfect. However, the devil tempts man into thinking he can improve on what God created. Down through the centuries of time Satan has deceived mankind with many false gods and other doctrines all trying to displace God as the Creator. In modern times his main deceit has been evolution and aliens. One places man above God and the other gives credit for the creation to so-called alien intervention in man’s history. Both are distortions of the truth. There are aliens that have invaded earth and mankind – they are called demons and are part of Satan’s kingdom of darkness. In Genesis 6, they were called “the sons of God” and were fallen angels that followed Satan in his rebellion. Continue reading

From Ancient Rome until WW1

Rome ChangesThe EU (European Union) has a history. It did not just appear overnight. Satan began laying its foundations soon after Christ’s victory on the cross. The Western Roman Empire, which evolved into emperor worship as divine representatives, began to deteriorate and ended with the emperor Romulus Augustus in 476 AD. The Roman Empire decayed into the turbulent Middle Ages in which many jealous kingdoms vied for power. Continue reading
