Don’t Worry about ISIS – Worry about God!

Israel Under David and Solomon

Don’t worry about ISIS – worry about God!

“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. – Joel 3:1, 2

As you can see by the map of Israel under David and Solomon, Israel extends to the Euphrates River in the North and through most of
Jordan in the East. Damascus is only about half way up the map that God promised to Abraham and that David and Solomon conquered. In 1922 the UN partitioned the land into a state for Israel and for the Arabs. That map is shown to the right – later in 1947, to appease the Arabs for their oil, the map was changed to a new UN Mandate, which was

never accepted by the Arabs – they went to war instead, a war which they lost! So, when President Obama calls for Israel returning to pre-1947 borders, they are basically giving the West Bank, Samaria, and Gaza back to the Israelis, though I doubt he understands that! So, we have three groups trying to solve the problem of Jerusalem and Israel: 1) the nations of the world who want peace so they can continue making money off the resources of the Mideast or gain acclaim for their ‘legacy’, 2) the Muslims who can never give back land once taken by Islam and want to destroy Israel and God’s claim to the land . and 3) God who calls it My land (Joel 3:2) and declares that He has set His name in Jerusalem (1 Kings 11:36). Now, I ask you – “Who do you think will win this argument! Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Continue reading

Jeremiah Speaks Yet Today

For a number of years I have wondered about the connection between Jeremiah 50 and 51 and the current events taking place in Iraq. Before beginning this teaching, I want to say that I understand the danger of trying to fit current events into Biblical prophesies and I want start with the understanding that this is not a “Thus saith the Lord” declaration but rather, a looking at remarkable similarities between prophetic Scriptures and current events.

Scripture states “that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” which means God may take a long time to fulfill His word but, He always fulfills it! So we begin with God’s pronounced judgment on Babylon –

“Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria. And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.” Jer. 50:18, 19

Gog Rising – part 4

Magog 1982 canceledAfter many years, Gog is told to gather his forces together and take command of them. While many today have forgotten Russia began to do this as early as 1982. In 1982, Israel made a preemptive strike into Lebanon uncovering stockpiles of weapons and documents which proved Russia was ready to attack later that year. This is documented in the book Magog 1982 – Canceled by David Allen Lewis.

Once again, we see Russia building ties with Iran, Syria, Libya and other radical Islamic states. Putin announced that “Russia is determined to enhance cooperation with the Islamic world.” Silly American diplomats have handcuffed themselves by joining with the so-called Quartet (Russia, EU, UN, and U.S.) to try and solve the Mideast problems when Mideast turmoil is to the advantage of at least half of the Quartet!

But, as usual the nations of the world fail to take into account God’s feelings on the issue. God says “I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army.” Two things are clear: 1) God is in charge of the situation, and 2) something will happen to force Russia’s hand. Gog rising – Part 2

ezekiel38_3In Part 1, a future world leader named Gog was introduced. Many have argued over who he is, where Magog is to be located, and where Meshech and Tubal are located. The two most often selected sites are Turkey and Russia. I believe the Russia connection is the most accurate.

“Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, – Ezekiel 38:2

Magog, Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal have long been thought to be connected with Russia. Even the famous American theologian Jonathon Edwards believed this. Perhaps the best known of those holding this view was Gesenius, who was known as the father of modern Hebrew Lexicography. Gesenius first published a work on Hebrew grammar in 1817 before turning his efforts on lexicography. Continue reading

Gog Rising – part 1

war with gogThe Bible records an ancient prophesy given to Ezekiel of a future world leader named Gog, who comes against the tiny nation of Israel. The timing of this event is clearly placed in the end of days. As Ezekiel records –

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.” – Ezekiel 38:8

Threading the Needle

12-30-2014-kerry-saudi_pm2015 is starting with news going in every direction. One headline asks Did The Saudis And The US Collude In Dropping Oil Prices? It points out that current struggles between Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, Russia and the United States all play a part in the gamesmanship over the struggle for control of the Middle East and oil and natural gas are part of the equation. A Sept. 11 meeting between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Saudi King Abdullah shortly before the price drops in oil seem to indicate this scenario. What is not clear is how Putin of Russia will respond. Continue reading
