The Gospel of the Kingdom

shofar-2I know this thought is foreign to most Americans and to most who live in western societies but, this world is not our home. 

“Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,” – 1 Pet. 2:11

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” – Phil. 3:20

When Jesus came to earth the first time, He came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom not the Gospel of this world. Continue reading

Christmas is Here – Like it or not!

Whether it happened December 25th or some time in August is of little consequence, the fact is – IT HAPPENED! The baby Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago. It is the beginning of the Gospel message we Christians proclaim. There is a God and He enters human history and He has moral standards He expect man to follow. It took a supernatural visit to convince Joseph that Mary had not violated this moral code. Jesus, the Son of God, had to be born into a family, a man and a woman joined together in marriage. Remembering our Foundations


King David asked a question that we need to ask again –

“If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” – Ps. 11:3

 In a time of attack upon our Republic from Socialists, Communists, and Progressives, we need to revisit our foundation principles. We have existed for over 200 years as a nation but, what was the foundation that allowed this? One of the earliest documents of those who originally came to found this country was written by John Winthrop, Pilgrim –
