Will the Lord find faith when He comes?

Jeremiah

The Prophets wept for Israel

“Woe is me!
For I am like those who gather summer fruits,
Like those who glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires. The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net. That they may successfully do evil with both hands— The prince asks for gifts, the judge seeks a bribe, and the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.” – Micah 7:1-3

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water. ….. A voice was heard on the desolate heights, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel. For they have perverted their way; They have forgotten the LORD their God. “Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.

Indeed we do come to You, for You are the LORD our God. Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains; Truly, in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.” – Jeremiah 2:13, 3:21-23

At the risk of being called too negative, I share this message. I believe the prophets Micah and Jeremiah, though they spoke hundreds of years ago to Israel, are speaking through the Holy Spirit to our generation as well. At a time of harvest, Micah laments that the Lord can find little fruit and he plainly identifies the reason; faithful men are being quieted and wickedness is being exalted. Leaders, who should do righteousness, sell their influence to those who pay the most (or for the sake of votes), judges forsake justice (which is always based on God’s will) ruling instead out of their own rebellion and corruption. There are many examples I could site but I will use just one – Canadian leader Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government forces employers to endorse abortion and LGTB agenda in order to receive governments grants or contracts. Similar actions have taken place in the England and the U.S. as well as those who stand for Biblical truth are being censored and ridiculed.

persecutionaug162016“215 million Christians experience high levels of persecution” around the world, according to Open Doors, a human rights organization. On its recently released World Watch List 2018, which ranks the world’s 50 worst nations wherein to be Christian, 3,066 Christians were killed, 1,252 abducted, and 1,020 raped or sexually harassed on account of their faith; and 793 churches were attacked or destroyed.  The Islamic world had the lion’s share of this persecution; 38 of the 50 worst nations are Muslim-majority. The report further cites “Islamic oppression” behind the “extreme persecution” that prevails in eight of the 10 worst nations.
So, what do we find in the western world, including the United States? Politicians, corporations, and the Courts bending over backwards to promote and protect Islam and abominations like abortion and LBGT lifestyles! The state of California is even teaching Islamic religion in their public schools!
I am writing these words to those who believe the Bible is the Word of God because they are the only ones who can change these things through the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit, which they alone have. The lukewarm Christians will not and the wicked cannot reach a righteous God with prayer, as they have no light to shine on the situation. They have already kneeled to the spirit of Antichrist and God has given them a spirit of delusion so they cannot see the truth as Paul writes –
“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. – 2 Thes. 2:11,12

It is time for the righteous to take up their weapons and join the battle and remember what James wrote, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” This does not mean that we are perfect but, that the Lord has given His righteousness to us and we follow Him.

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lordthe righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” – 2 Tim. 4:8

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” – 2 Cor. 5:21

Preparation for the Battle Ahead

mass di-offAs we near a new year, it would be beneficial to consider what God has been saying to us these last few years.

“You will be punished by the LORD of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire.” – Isa. 29:6

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;” – Luke 21:26

“By swearing and lying, killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed. Therefore the land will mourn; and everyone who dwells there will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.” – Hosea 4:2,3

The Sleeping Church

A church that is asleep or compromised might as well be dead as far as being salt in a corrupt society or being light in a dark world are concerned.

“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.” – Rev. 3:1,2

jd faragJesus warned that false prophets and false teachers would abound in the end days so, I should not be surprised when I see it, but I am still grieved. I just heard a prophecy teacher named J.D. Farag talk about what he called Lordship Salvation, which he called ‘another gospel’ than the one Paul preached. He made the statement that shocked me – “Repentance cannot be a precondition for salvation”. He claimed that made our salvation a product of works and went against Paul’s statement that “we are saved by grace and that not of ourselves”. By his circular reasoning and taking Scripture out of context, he Continue reading

Lessons from the Church of Thyatira

hand-on-wallThe church in Thyatira had many good qualities and works, and their works were increasing. But, they had the cart before the horse, so to speak. Right relationship with the Son and Father will lead to good works, but works alone can never lead to right relationship with the Son and the Father. Jesus told a story that has always put the fear of God into me –

“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” – Matthew 7:21-23

Who then can be saved? Those who are not lawless and obey Him. God told King Saul, through Samuel, Obedience is better than sacrifice.”

While Thyatira was doing many good things, they were allowing disobedience to God’s word in their midst. They were allowing women to usurp the authority God placed in men. I know many today will disagree with my interpretation of this but, I must be faithful to declare the truth that God has revealed, not what a politically correct culture declares. Continue reading

The 4th of July

18458-July-4th-Quote “The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever.” John Adams, 2nd President of the United States

Trumpets of Judgment

revelation8-13“And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” – Revelation 8:1

As the 7th seal is opened there is silence in heaven where normally there is constant praise and worship. Why? I believe it is because God is grieving for the judgments that are about to be released on those God created. God told Ezekiel –

“Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?'” – Ezekiel 33:11 Continue reading

The Lamb and the Seals

seals in the Throne“And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.” – Rev. 5:1-4
