The United States is standing at the precipice, a tipping point, from which if it goes over it will likely never recover. It is not a financial or military tipping point, although they will certainly be effected but, it is a moral tipping point. Our Founding Father, George Washington prophesied about this point as he was inaugurated as our first President.

In fact, We have ‘disregarded the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven (God) has ordained’! We don’t even like to remind ourselves that such rules exist! We outlaw the 10 Commandments from being shown in public places, because it may offend. Well, who does it offend? I’ll tell you who – first Satan and his followers, and second those rebellious who don’t want to be reminded of their sin. We allow a public school system to train our most precious possessions against us and our historical culture and send them out to march and riot against our Constitution – and we pay the schools to do it! How stupid is that?

I probably do not need to remind you of the many ways we have disregarded God but, here are a few:

 

1. Not only have we legalized divorce and remarriage, which God says He hates but, we call it ‘no fault’.  (Mal. 2:16)
2. Legalize homosexuals and lesbians which is an abomination to God (Lev. 18:22, Rom. 1:26,27)
3. Legalize abortion and selling of the baby’s body parts and pay those who do it! (Luke 17:2)
4. Honor other Gods (Deut. 11:28)

These are just a few, any one of which could bring God’s judgement upon a people or nation and we have done much more. But, the greatest danger is the falling away of the American Church because God will save a godless people if there are enough righteous people there, as we saw with Sodom in the Bible.  Do we have enough righteous people to save us? Here are some of the warnings Jesus sent to the church –

And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” – Rev. 3:1

Many churches are just going through the motions but, there is no true life, no conviction of sinful habits or lifestyles. Remember, the church is not a building or an organization – it is people. You and the people you gather with to worship are the church. What about your church? When was the last time anyone went to the altar to repent of anything? Are homosexuals or adulterers comfortable in your church? Are liars or cheats comfortable in your church? They won’t be in heaven! Maybe your church is like the church of Sardis – dead, in need of a move of the Holy Spirit which will bring repentance.

Then there are those like the Loadocean Church giving lip service to a mighty God but not obeying His commands. They are OK with women pastors, even though God’s word is against them. They march to honor women’s rights to an abortion but will not speak publicly for God. They do not want to offend anyone so, they say there are many ways to God and Islam is just as good as Christianity. They stand for nothing, so as a result they fall for anything. To them “I’m OK, your OK” and “Judge not lest you be judged” are good statements. As a result, they cannot discern between good and evil and will be fooled by the spirit of Antichrist.

And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” – Rev. 3:14-16

Can such churches as these bring us back from the precipice? I think not. I see this church already riding the Beast of Revelation and most of the members in it don’t even realize their condition. Jesus said of it –

 

“—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.” – Rev. 3:17,18

Jesus had but one message to those in such churches –

“And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” – Rev. 18:4

We in the United States are in a dangerous condition and darkness has almost enveloped the nation. England, who was once a beacon of light for the Gospel, has fallen and preaching the Bible now can land you in jail. Remember, only Christians have been given light that can drive back the darkness but, they must choose to not hide it under a bushel! If you are in such a church as described above – get out. Find a church or fellowship that honors God’s word – all of it. Let the Holy Spirit search your heart for any wicked thought and then repent. Resolve to be a soldier for Christ. Now is the time to work before the time comes when no man can work as Jesus said –

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” – John 9:4

This is the time when Isaiah’s prophecy is in force –

“Arise, shine;  For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” – Isa. 60:1,2
