Passover 2020

passoverA very important Christian event is happening soon on April 9th, and I’m not referring to Easter. April 9th will be Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew. Passover is the first Feast of the Lord (Remember there are 7) in the Biblical year and  was marked in 2014-2015 by a Blood Red Moon Tetrad. As I wrote in 2015 Blood Red Moons“Heavenly signs are God’s warnings of things to come and 2014 began a series of 4 blood red moons that occur on Biblical Feast days.” The two BRM’s of 2014 did indeed set the stage for increased trouble both for Israel and the world! Does God Judge Nations?

weighed-in-the-balancesDoes God judge?

Many times people do not recognize judgments when they come. Sometimes they are the result of our own lawlessness, such as when governments or school systems push God out of their world views and then as a result face increased lawlessness and rebellion. Or when we kill nearly 60 million of our potential children by abortion and then worry about the increase of a spirit of murder among us. On the part of schools, if you eliminate God’s 10 commandments from the curricula and replace them with atheistic humanism, what or who is to be the arbiter of right vs. wrong? A student can reason, “My version of right and wrong is just as good as yours!” and they would be correct! Continue reading

2018 Passover

I

Passover 2018Passover is coming! This year it begins in the evening of March 30th and goes to the 31st. The Hebrew month is Nisan,  which is the first month –

“This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. – Exodus 12:1

Later in this article, I will explain why this important. But, there are many facts about Passover that we should remember.

First, it marks the beginning of deliverance from slavery. Most of us think we have never seen slavery but, we have! Jesus taught –

“Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.” – John 8:34 Continue reading

Is Truth Failing in the USA?

web pictures 032“… your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. … Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. … And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” – Isa. 59:2-14

A Time for Truth

spurgen quoteMany in the modern church like to rely on “grace alone” to excuse their ungraceful manner of living. They live like the world six days a week and then put on a ‘holy’ face for Sunday. Many of them vote Democrat or Socialist in the elections and think they won’t have to answer to God for approving abortions, homosexual lifestyles, or other anti scriptural stands. I single out Democrats because they are the party that openly supports murdering the unborn as if they weren’t real humans even though Scripture clearly declares they are – Continue reading

The Prophetic Nature of Christmas

As we are just a few days from Christmas it would be good to reflect where we are in God’s plan for mankind. We know the Hebrew people had the promise of Messiah’s coming long before He actually came and when He really did come, many in Israel missed it because they were looking for a warrior King who would re-establish the kingdom of David. They forgot that God loved all people, all His creation, as much as He did His people Israel. God foreknew most of Israel would reject their Messiah and so the door would be open for all people to come into the Kingdom of God through the Grace that was won by Jesus on the cross. Where can I find Social Justice?

“The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, And shall totter like a hut;
Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, And it will fall, and not rise again.” – Isaiah 24:20

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! “ – Isaiah 5:20

“Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street,
And equity cannot enter.” – Isaiah 59:14

Judgment is falling on the earth, in nearly every kingdom and nation, and it is not the judgment of God – it is the judgment of their own sin bearing its fruit. The people are wandering around like blind men seeking an answer to their problems but, they will not find it because they are looking in the wrong place for it. As Isaiah wrote, their transgression makes them wobble like a drunkard having no stability. They call evil good and good evil. It used to be evil to kill the unborn, now it is called good. It used to be called evil to lie, now it is called shrewd. It used to be called evil to steal, now it is called taxation, repatriation, or wealth re-distribution. Truth has fallen in the streets and anyone who stands up for truth makes himself a prey!

Baltimore-riots 5In America they have invented  a new term called ‘social justice’ which allows them to extort the innocent. Social justice is just a banner used by some to incite people to violence and by others to give vent to their own rebellion. Some try to sugar coat it by claiming that Jesus preached ‘social justice’ thereby exposing their ignorance of what Jesus taught and stood for. Jesus began His ministry with a message – “Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand!” There was and is no justice without repentance and forsaking sin. He taught us to pray – “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. As Isaiah wrote, when “righteousness stands afar off’ then ‘justice is turned back”. All the marching, breaking windows, looting stores, and burning cars in the street will not bring justice. Only repentance from sinful lives and humbly calling on God for forgiveness will do that.

In the article How to overcome strange fire,  I warned of the danger of mixing falsehoods with God’s revealed works or words. One of the signs Jesus warned us to watch for were false prophets (Matthew 24:11), and today we see an abundance of false prophets and false teachers on the scene. They often try to deceive by adding a fragment of God’s truth to their proclamations. Or, having forsaken God all together, they use humanistic reasons, evolutionary falsehoods, or political correctness to prove their points.

I give you another paradigm to answer the world’s problems –

  1. Seek God while He may be found“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”– Isaiah 55:6, 7
  2. As you face life’s problems remember “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” – 1 John 4:4
  3. Don’t yield to the world or be bullied by it for in the end – we win!“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” – Mark 13:13
  4. Trust God to meet all your needs“I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” – Psalm 37:25
