The Bible teaches,

“For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:10

Liberals are fond of wielding the ‘separation of state and church’ doctrine to enable government encroachment of church duties. But, all they have done is confuse welfare with charity. Welfare is a tool used to enslave people and rob them of any feeling of achievement and self-worth. Charity, on the other hand, brings a genuine blessing to the one receiving it as well as the one giving it and it does not damage the self-worth of the recipient. Welfare produces lack of responsibility, lack of desire for improvement, and ultimately rebellion. Welfare can only work by stealing from those who do work and giving to those who do not.
